I was super hungry. My wife had given birth the day before and this place is very close to the hospital. I loved it because I haven’t had their food since I moved from Oakland. I live 30 minutes away from this particular location though. To find their shop was great. Maybe if I franchise one, I could have them whenever I wanted.

The Cheese Steak Shop is an authentic Philly cheesesteak experience. The cheesesteaks were steaming hot, savory and flavorful. The sandwiches are filled with generous helpings of meat, melted American cheese and a combination of sweet and hot peppers in an Amoroso roll. The food was delicious, but I couldn’t get over how grungy the restaurant felt. All the tables were grimy, the floor was sticky, the one bathroom available was dirty and all the walls were greasy and had questionable items stuck to them. I would recommend The Cheese Steak Shop do a deep cleaning in their restaurant, since no one wants to eat a meal in a grungy restaurant.

The Cheesesteak that I ordered came very close to the ones I savored in Philadelphia,PA. I was happy to taste that flavor without going the miles. I ordered it on take out. At the time I was there it was quiet, and the interior was typical fast food decor. For this food, atmosphere is not an issue.

Good Philly Cheesesteak. Only issue for me is the peppers are added on top at the end instead of mixed in so they don’t really add flavor to the meat.

By far the best cheesesteak I’ve had. We ordered a King size Gilroy (with whole cloves of roasted garlic) to share with 2 sides and it was perfect. Service was fast and very friendly and helpful. I forgot to take pictures, but we’ll definitely be back.

The guy who was waiter or employee of restaurant was impolite and unprofessional, when I asked for my order, he throgh it on the table, when I asked if everything is in the bag, again he gave me a very bad attitude, he must have a very bad day, my recommendation for him is to take a day off if he is not felling well.
