Had the two meat plate. Generous servings. The ribs were super tender and the brisket was pretty good. I like that you can serve the sides yourself unless it fried. I got the okra and it was good as well. This place is what a BBQ place should be. What all BBQ places should strive for. People were very friendly and made you feel appreciated. Soft serve ice cream is included. It’s a BBQ joint and I loved it.

I think David’s is the best BBQ in Texas & we have eaten BBQ at all the highly rated BBQ joints in the state. It is never dry or gristly. We have gone to David’s about once a month for the past 20 years. The BBQ & Turkey are always smoked to perfection. The soft serve ice cream is a hit too. The turkey will ruin you. You will never want store bought turkey again! It is so moist & flavorful. They have a separate dinning room that accommodates our large family. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere authentic. Their portions are so generous I can take half the meat home & have a sandwich for the next day. We love this place!

David’s Barbecue is an establishment full of character, history, and charm. We arrived and were served by the owner himself who cheerfully greeted us with a friendly “Howdy!” and asked about our lives with genuine interest. He made us feel like friends of the restaurant. We got ribs, brisket, sausage, Texas toast, iced tea, fried okra, and all the fixin’s! Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had….Oh, and the ice cream is excellent as well. Highly recommend coming and supporting a local family business that has been around since 1910! Will definitely be coming back ASAP hungry for more!

This place is one of my favorite barbecue spots! You can immediately tell the food is fresh and delicious (especially the ribs) just by looking at it. Not just that but, this place has great service by being greeted and served by some genuine, hardworking people. The environment around has this homey feel as well. Just by seeing the pictures on the walls you can tell the tradition of great food going on for decades! I definitely recommend!
