Burnt fries, no carbonation or syrup in the pop, and the burger was cold…all for just over $12

Just horrible. Used to be a great place to grab a meal, take it back to your room, and enjoy it. Open until 10pm, it was a great place to eat after failing your midterm. Now the menu can fit on a note card and half the time the stuff on the menu isn’t available. For example since nobody goes there now, they don’t make fries unless you request them. So you end up eating most of your meal before you even get them. But wait, there’s more! New to spring 2018 the new and improved Clyde’s, open for an incredible 4 hours each day! Stop by between 10:30 and 2:30, and we’ll have your meal ready just as soon as we get the frying oil warmed up and the dry, hard cookies off the shelf from 3 weeks ago.

Really good pulled pork grilled cheese. All of the different kinds of fries are good as well. The best way to order is using the get app and using flex meals which works as long as you’re under 9 dollars which is basically a meal.

Alright burgers. I will say it’s a good place to grab a bite or a coffee for a flex meal, but you can usually expect to wait ~10 minutes at least for your food to come. At least that’s been my experience in the 3 or 4 times I’ve gone at times when it really didn’t seem that busy.

Always amazing food and service! Very quick if you want on the go. My only comment is I wish they would ask if the costume wanted to make the order a combo, I almost always forget to.

Iowa State wanted to offer a dining center with more healthy options, so they re-did Clyde’s and it was a huge mistake. Clyde’s was attractive because it had history, sports, TVs, a small crowd, and quick meals. Now it feels like a sanitized, grab and go, ghost town convenience store. The place is clean and empty. The food options are offered on depressing racks and should instead be offered at C-store next door. I think Iowa State uttered a collective sigh when this new Clyde’s opened. The older generation reminisces about the good times we had at this establishment and the glory that was, while the younger generation doesn’t understand the history behind these white washed walls.

Food has gotten a lot better, but spent 30 minutes waiting for my order when others who ordered after me already got theirs. After watching the employees sit and act as if they had no orders, I had to go up and ask, and even then took an additional 10 minutes as they had to make the entire meal starting then.

Good food from a college student perspective and a nice change up from your typical dining hall experience. Only downside is usually long wait times and high prices on certain menu items.

Ordered a cheeseburger with a few extras: mushrooms, red onions and an extra slice of pepper jack. Staff taking my order was unable to fill this order on the register, and I ended up getting a burger with 1 slice of pepper jack, no onions and it was cold. Half the workers were just standing around doing nothing and it took 15 mins to get my food. Terrible service and mediocre food, can’t recommend eating here

The burger buns have too many sesame seeds and the lettuce they use is for a salad and NOT a burger. Their shakes are really good though and I’m glad this spot is on campus.
