You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and it’s limited enough that you can try everything on there in a few trips. The Adobada is sensational, carne asada is tender and delicious and pollo asado is grilled perfection. Tacos and mulitas are soft and quesadillas and vampiros are crispy. The tortillas are made to order. Everything is served with onions, cilantro, guacamole and salsa. There’s also a salsa bar with a nice selection of house made salsas. Seating is limited. Street parking. Looking forward to my next visit!

I was waiting for an order at a place a few doors down and I saw this spot. I’ve always heard about Tacos 1986 but never made the trip. I figured while I waited for my food at the other spot, I’d get a little something from here. I’m extremely glad I did cause the food is fantastic.

so last night I went in at 9:30. I ordered my food before two people and ended up getting my food after they had ordered. I waited nearly 25 minutes for three tacos and then when I sat down to eat it, there was nothing but flies on the table. This is one of my favorite spots but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be going back. Maybe I’ll try the melrose location.

Worst al pastor I think I’ve ever had. I couldn’t eat the second one, I threw it away. Overrated tacos. Street tacos are WAY better. Bad service, took forever, I had ordered ahead, they hadn’t even started my order by the time I got there 20 minutes later, and there was no line…. Don’t waste your time here.

As soon as I walked in there the Staff was very friendly I ordered 3 quesadillas The tortillas are handmade plus the meat was nice and Tender I dont mind waiting couple minutes for my food to get there because I know they were doing everything fresh. The place is nice and clean i recommended place.

DO NOT TRUST- AVOID online ordering doesn’t work – even when you order ahead. phones don’t work or ring the restaurant. we ordered six hours ahead. They excepted it and confirm the order and then canceled it 10 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I walked in on a whim and sure am glad I did. The General Manager was warm and friendly and introduced himself when he took my order – and patient in answering a couple questions about the menu. My food was ready quickly and really exceeded my expectations in freshness and flavor. The Adobada was flavorful and juicy – wow! I will definitely be back for great food and great service.
