In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.
We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. Had the fish plate, and it was not good. It was more breading than the fish itself. I barely tasted the fish. The fish looked thick and good, but when cutting into it, the fish was thin. All I could see and taste was the fried breading. The Mac n cheese was not so great tasting either. I wouldn’t recommend the fish. But then again, it’s only for a limited time.

The food was good, but not the Bill Miller’s good I’m used to. The pulled pork was dry. That’s not good for BBQ. Our food was ready, but they didn’t bring it out like they do in our area or even call out our names….that they asked for.

Honestly this is the closest location to my home so that’s why I go, however it seems like everytime I go my order is messed up or missing something. Poor boy has been made with very little brisket and sauce. Not sure why? I have asked for extra sauce and it’s like pulling teeth to get. Same thing with getting extra tarter sauce.

Chicken Tendies all day. Noticed the staff eating them on their lunch breaks, so you know they’re good. I’d take a BMBBQ over Canes, anytime. Texas Toast is stupid, fries are better at Bill’s, and you can only do so much with coleslaw- Mr. Miller’s also takes the win.
