Just to try it, I went to this spot to purchase a polish sausage. I normally eat at Jim’s original. I looked at the food only to find all of it was burned and very undesirable. The food at Jim’s is fresh and looks appetizing. I also could not smell the onions at express grill. And $3.00 for a bottle of pop? Really? I will never stray from Jim’s again!

Good old fashion chicago street food. Food leaves a storng odor in your car for a day if you eat it in car. Pork chop awesome but thin. Polish sausage filling. Double cheese burger are a grilled onion mess. Fries soft and salty suggest you buy an extra order. Worker always quick and give them a tip they are great people.. careful at night lots of people from different HOODS carrying guns after 10pm! Multiple murder have occurred on that block throughout the years. The security will not save you.

I love this place!! Been going there for years BUT I found out that the owner does not give the employees tips received when paying with debit/credit card. Years ago I was told by one of the employees that they don’t get any tips at all. That dude is no longer working there. Since then I been giving cash tips. I try to do it on the sly but today I didn’t get a chance since the guy running the register(possibly the owner) was right behind him. Plus the cooks don’t handle money or cards because of the gloves/pandemic. So I had no choice but to put the cash(tip) in the bowl with my card. I asked the cook if they get the tips. He said “oh yeah. He gives us the tips” when I told him that a previous employee told me they didn’t. He whispered “well not tips given through credit card. But we do get the cash ones.” Now that is f’ed up! I bet he takes some of them cash tips also. With this discovery… I will no longer be their customer.
