This is our most favorite restaurant! Always amazing delicious freshly made food to order! The best customer service! Their whiskey collection is so cool! Such unique bottles and such! Love it!! Pictured are the fresh made to order cheese sticks and stuffed chicken.

We were excited to try this restaurant for our anniversary however we really do not see the hype with this restaurant unfortunately. It took us 30 minutes to be seated yet there were very few other tables seated. They didn’t have any of the draft beers on their menu available and also were not serving several things including scallops, potatoes, pizzas, or stromboli. Service was nearly non-existent, our waters were not refilled until we got the check. An extra $5 service charge for using a credit card was added to our bill which is an extra 8% of the total bill even though the fine print on the bill said that the credit card fee was only supposed to be 4%. On top of that our credit card ended up charged an extra $2.68 more than the bill showed which we don’t know what that extra fee was for as it was not disclosed. Also the bathroom stall in the women’s room is missing part of the latch so it doesn’t stay closed and my husband said the men’s room was unclean. The place has a lot of neat things to look at and probably was really nice at some point but seems to have gone downhill.

Our waitress was wonderful. She explained that they were incredibly busy but she still was attentive and we didn’t have to track her down for anything. Great personality. The food is delicious. Everyone loved their meal. I got the halibut with an almond sauce that was to die for. Can’t say enough about this place.

I’m conflicted about writing this review because this business is clearly loved by the staff and seems well managed but ultimately these are the things I wish I knew before I went so I wanted to share my experience. We arrived at 4:15pm on a Friday afternoon and it took 30 minutes to seat our party of two. Ok. But there was ample empty seating in the dining room this entire time. I respect that the very friendly and knowledgeable staff were busy and that the kitchen was already backed up, but it’s never fun to see many empty tables and be left standing in the entryway. So at 4:45 we got a chance to sit down and then we’re immediately told that the kitchen is backed up and that it’s going to be a while before we can eat, but they will be happy to serve us drinks. Ok. I asked if there is any bread or something we could get for the table in the meantime but told absolutely not due to their preparation methods and the only thing that they would serve us immediately was dessert. Ok. So we ordered two house blended whiskeys which were fantastic and delicious. At 5:10 we were permitted to order food and ordered an appetizer and two entrees at that time which came with side salads. We ordered mozzarella bread as an appetizer but then there was a basket of bread brought with the salads, so I would advise to wait until the salad and bread portion as this bread was superior to the more bland appetizer. Our food was served at approximately 5:40 and ultimately, everything was okay. My spaghetti Sicilian tasted like canned tomatoes and dried noodles. All the other ingredients were lost to the tomato. The stuffed chicken tasted like chicken breast with some breading covered in cream sauce. There was no additional flavoring or seasoning that either one of us could detect in the entrees, but the sauces were good when mixed together. Ultimately, our impression was they serve “classic American Italian food” – dried noodles with a one dominant ingredient sauce. If that is what you were looking for, then great! The quality is good and the menu is big! But for me in the end, I decided to take most of my meal home to make additions there before reheating. Yes, I am a food snob and I know this place is great to many people, but if you are going there hoping for flavorful, or innovative, or authentic-to-the-original-country dining, this is not that. This is just my experience and I hope you go to try it for yourself. Overall positives – great staff, ambiance, and alcohol options!!

The food is so delicious, but the wait is unreasonable. The explanation being that “they prepare each dish one by one” but I suspect they’re just understaffed, as I’m very familiar with the ins and outs of making Italian food. It’s not as if it’s homemade pasta. It’s sauces and noodles. We’ve been there 3 times because it is so tasty, but be prepared to wait for hours

Fantastic food, outstanding atmosphere, including the music, came in for appetizers and a drink. The bartender was extremely talented and very entertaining. That atmosphere is just wonderful.

Wood everywhere, cabinets full of old bottles and photos, and the classic low bar didn’t disappoint. It likely hasn’t changed for 30 years, which is just what I wanted. Unfortunately, they broke the cardinal rule of Italian food… the pasta was way over cooked. As a pasta lover, and despite the cool decor, you can’t make up tor that. Oh, and whisky list is bomb! House Cabernet Sauvignon was not :/

Way over hyped and overpriced. Yes, the mozzarella sticks were huge, but the marinara sauce was sweet, like grocery store jarred Ragu. The side salad was skimpy and bitter. I also had the seafood fettuccine. I was told they were out of scallops, but the chef would add extra shrimp. I don’t think he did. It was a pile of cheap pasta with 6 shrimp and an admittedly tasty but thin sauce. Garlic bread was bland. The bar service was terrible. The place was also somewhat run down, with the light fixture falling off the ceiling in the men’s room.

I have been a customer since 1975 and not by choice. I have tried almost all the menu items and am not impressed except by the Involtini di Pollo con Prosciutto Formaggio. They are either out of or not serving most items when you try to order off the menu so plan on eating pizza or red pasta. My favorite was the filet with crab white sauce but they don’t serve it anymore. This is my friend’s favorite restaurant because of the bar so I suffer eating here when they feel like being open. The owners live out of state so call to make sure they are open for the tourists season. The original restaurant is an old military Quonset hut that is now used for large events and they added on to it and made the Italian restaurant. Bathrooms need updates and maintenance needed throughout. Parking is a nightmare and even with reservations expect to wait.
