We saw the sign of boiled crawfish and jumbo shrimps and was intrigued. As we were debating what to get, Mr. D opened the window and talked to us about what they had and gave us a sample. The boiled crawfish was delicious and very spicy. The spicy boiled jumbo shrimp was even better! The wedge fries were tasty- crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside.

I came here on the 1st and ordered 3lbs of Crawfish and 1lb of head on Shrimp.(pictured) Long story short.. The Crawfish were not clean. There was lots of grass and a few snails in them. Now I frequently go here because I be lazy and don’t want to drive far. It don’t take much to rinse them off get the grass out and extra creatures. I will not buy Crawfish from them again unless I’m shown that they are clean before I buy them. I had no problem with the Shrimp this time. Sometimes they are overcooked but they were on point. I’m highly disappointed because I don’t play when it comes to my Crawfish.

Can’t be the price on these crawfish. $5.97 when you buy 5lbs or more. Where they doing that? Spicy is too spicy for my liking prefer Mild but the crawfish are decent size. I ate here 3x- the 2nd time a lot of the smaller tails were mushy. Overall good flavor and great price point.

SOOO. I had been dreaming of this place because I live in San Antonio, and our HEB’s don’t have seafood boils consistently throughout the year. I order corn & potatoes in a boil bag with the seasonings and a side order of catfish. What I actually received was crawfish in with my potatoes & corn and NO CATFISH. No fuss. I order the catfish and received it at no charge. The catfish was excellent! The boil in a bag was NOT. I mean right down to the seasonings. I made sure to add this stop to my travels to Houston. I was disappointed. I have a lil more appreciation for my neighborhood HEB. The lil bit they offer is awesome.

It smelled great but the taste was bland. I like the specials that they have (5 lbs of crawfish is equal to 1 lb of shrimp)Just know that you’ll be waiting for around 30-45 mins for your order!

One of the boiler house employees accidentally messed up an order and gave it to me when I was walking out of the HEB. That seriously made my day. Thank you to that employee for not letting good food go to waste and for letting me have it and giving me a great day because of it. Glad that there are still good people out there willing to do a good thing! : ) if management is reading this don’t take it as ‘he messed up an order!!!’ but as ‘he made a customers day and that customer will definitely be coming back to patronage the boil house next time’ I wasssssss craving crawfish for this weekend anyways! : )

At first I was skeptical being that I’m from Louisiana. But True Texas Boil House won a crawfish customer for life. The crawfish was juicy, flavorful and very good in sizes. They weren’t full of butter and garlic like most of the places I have visited while living in Texas. The price was pretty fair. $30 for 5lbs. With the 5.00 off $20.00 And they offer different weekly deals on food. Completely satisfied.

We drove for about an hour to get there and had no idea that there was only outdoor dining, no indoor dining at all. Employees were sitting on the table that you had to eat off of kind of making it gross knowing that someone’s butt was on the table that you are trying to eat on. Some of the crawfish had good flavor and some had no flavor, not consistent. Potatoes were kind of bland, corn was good and spicy and the boiled shrimp were way over cooked and hard to peel but flavor was good.
