If you haven’t had an empanada from Ché, stop what you’re doing and go! These delightfully fried pastries are Argentina’s favorite street food. Ché started as a food truck, then they opened in Over-the-Rhine in 2016, and a couple of years ago expanded close to my home in O’Bryonville.

It’s a small ish place but we got seated immediately. Empanadas and chorizo gravy were top notch. 6’4 230 and I was freezing when I walked in which is unusual. The staff noticed immediately and reset the thermostat. Excellent all around.

Food was good but there menu was changed. Beef skewers were only three with three small pieces of meat on each. Wasn’t enough. Had to order more food. Either put more meat or increase the size of the pieces.

Everything was amazing! Highly recommend the Mac & cheese and the Korean BBQ empanadas for something different!

Went for the first time the other day – atmosphere was nice. Couple of strange things happened – we saw there was Sangria on the menu, so we were excited to order it. Waitress told us that it was only available on Sundays… Which we thought was odd because it was on the menu, right in the middle of the drink section. Odd. As a table, we got a bunch of empanadas to share. We alerted the waitress that I was a vegetarian so it would be great if the veggie ones were on a separate plate so we could identify them easily. She told us that was impossible because the cook didn’t speak any English, and there was no way for her to communicate this request. She then said all of them go in the same fryer anyway…. Which was incredibly disheartening to hear as a vegetarian. I’m sure this is common, but the lack of ability to even separate the empanadas was super weird and I probably won’t be back because of this. Not really into making a guessing game out of my dinner.

Had the blackened shrimp tacos, short rib empanada, buffalo chicken empanada, baby spinach empanada, and the jerk chicken empanada, as well as, the Fundido app. Each was very good.

Very comfortable, intimate atmosphere. This is the best that this existing space has ever looked since I have lived here. Laid back. Friendly staff, nice bar. Parking is easy. Much nicer to come here than go downtown. A+
