This vegan pizza cost me $37! While the most expensive pizza on their menu is $27 (with lamb, cheeses, etc), this cheap and ungenerous pizza was considered as “special order”. So, if you are vegan or milk intolerant, it is not a place to go. Certainly the most expensive and tasteless vegan pizza, I have ever had in my life.

We decided to dine outdoors as it was a beautiful day and we had our dog with us. Initially, everything was satisfactory. However, as the sun moved, the parasol failed to provide enough shade for our table. Understanding the challenges of outdoor seating, we proposed some solutions to the staff: firstly, moving a seat to the head of the table for better shade, and secondly, when a two-person table nearby became vacant, we requested to split our party across tables to alleviate the discomfort from the sun.

I ordered the Baker. Baked eggs with tomato sauce with fresh bake bread. My bake eggs need more seasoning, tomato tasted fresh, more sausage in the dish would be make it better. The freshly bake was burned on one edge but the part that was not burned tasted soft inside and crispy outside. Service was good. Patio seating was nice. I ate little piece of La Blanca pizza and that was good.

Mioposto is a pizzeria and Italian restaurant with a few locations in the Seattle and Eastside areas. They have a smaller menu with only a few sides or entrees, but a good amount of pizza toppings and beverages. Their pricing is a little bit higher for the portions you get, and although they have a nice char sometimes on the crust, the bottom is still a bit too doughy. Their toppings however have great flavor, so it meets in the middle on taste. This location on Mercer Island has only a little bit for parking, and although the staff is nice, the service is pretty slow even with a few tables.

Pizza is my favorite dish and I’ve had it in some 20 countries so far. I’ve tried every style. The worst has to be “American” pizza, so much so that I stopped eating it here—until I found Mioposto. Theirs is the second best pizza I’ve ever had (only losing to the fanciest Pizzarias in Brazil).
