There was nobody seated to eat. Only people at the bar. The service was horrible only saw the waitress once had to get up to get my own take home box and had to chase the waitress down just to pay. We waited longer for the check than anything else. The food was o.k but tasted a little old and it wasn’t hot. It was dead in there and still had terrible service. After waiting at the front for 10 minutes for somebody to actually notice we were trying to pay the waitress ran out and asked for her tip! Unreal and her loss

In my opinion, the quality of Chinese food is not what it once was years ago. It seems many have opted for buying lower quality food to improve margin. Egg rolls are a prime example of this. They taste nothing like they used to. The ingredients are completely different. Most taste like a spring roll now, not an egg roll.

This was the worst experience ever! Should be a ZERO option. Ordered on the Beyond Menu app on Christmas Eve around 4:30 PM. Ordered early as I expected they would be busy on that night. Order went through app no problem, got notified that order would be ready at 5:15 PM. Wife and daughter and I got in the car, went to pick it up. When I get there, there are people milling around near the front door. I walk to cashier and ask for my order. “They are just finishing it now.” I sit down. Ten minutes later I ask, is it going to be much longer? Now, there is no order. I show them the app showing the confirmed order for well over 1

I ordered the lunch special, Kung pow chicken with fried rice. They forgot the fried rice. I called to let them know for future reference. The person on the phone wouldn’t admit mistake and hung up on me. Simple apology would have been great. Food was good though.

We have ordered before and been happy in the past.Tonight however was a different story. All the food from the beef lo mein to the fried rice,egg rolls,chicken wings,terryaki,spare ribs,chicken wings and orange chicken was all overcooked and dry. This is the tiny bit of food that I just got from here for $20!. I beef teriyaki. About only 12 pieces of boneless spare ribs but a ton of rice. Im not trying to pay $20 of my hard earned money on a combo plate that’s mostly rice! And plus the food was barely warm when I opened it up to eat. I’m only a 10 minute drive from there. So there’s no reason of why it should be barely warm. The ribs were really dry also. It’s like they already had someone order the same thing earlier in the day and never went to go pick it up and ended up serving it to me when I called and ordered it. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant. Needless to say I’ll never be ordering from them ever again. I’ll be sticking with happy dragon in Halifax that I have been ordering from for the past year since I moved up here. They have way better food and you get double the food for half of the price as royal garden. Lesson learned I guess.

It was amazing, it made me feel like I went back 30 years service was excellent food amazing. Will be back with my family we had a blast, I highly recommend to anyone most, places have changed their recipes with the times ” not for the better ” but Royal Garden has stayed true to the way it used to be.
