We went out with a few friends here after visiting DC for the day. We arrived to find this place much smaller than anticipated for our party of 7 & what seemed to be only one employee. We should have known after they served us the chips and salsa to leave, but we continued to order anyway. 1 of 3 of my tacos was wrong, neither of the guests who ordered fajitas ate them. The chicken looked undercooked and also, I have never come across a place to serve fajitas with celery. A mandatory gratuity was added with our party size, which was a little steep given the service (20%??). The alcoholic beverages were delicious – but don’t plan to eat here again.

Decent Mexican food and drinks. Salsas y mole no tienen mucho sabor. But the corn tortillas are really tasty.

Enjoyed the happy hour food menu and the chill vibe of the restaurant. Parking was easy and the restaurant wasn’t crowded.

Awesome little spot. Very quaint. Love the authentic margaritas. Had quite a few of their tacos. They are delicious and thoughtfully crafted. I had the chorizo and shrimp tacos. They were super yummy. Avoid the empenadas. I really wanted to like them. They were BLAND. No flavor in the meat, vegetables, or dough. The delicious sauces couldn’t even save it.

I am a huge taco fan, however I was not a fan of this place. I ordered the empanada. The filling needed more seasoning and the outside was bland too. The shrimp quesadilla wasn’t fully cooked. They took it back and remade it. The mahi mahi taco was pretty flavorful. The staff was very welcoming and attentive….the food just wasn’t the best. They are still relatively new… hopefully things get better for them.

Walked in here with zero expectations and left impressed. The food was excellent and not your average Taco spot, it is exceptional, the word shoul be Artisanal. If you’re a vegetarian their quesadilla is delicious. We will come back for sure as the kids loved their food to, a huge plus.

If you’re in the Brookland neighborhood and want some quick grab and go tacos, then this spot is worth trying. Feels more authentic than what you’ll get at some of the other nearby fast food restaurants, which I really did appreciate. Service is fast and friendly. You’ll get tortilla chips and salsa to start. The empanadas were flavorful enough on the inside, the outside will require you to dip it in the salsas provided. It’s a bit bland on the exterior of the empanadas. The tacos were the highlight of the meal. They were very good overall (I really liked the tinga de pollo) . The mahi mahi was ok. I think the thing they really need to work on is their pairings and seasoning. Hopefully it will improve. They just need to invest in this area of their business a bit more by surveying the community or these reviews to determine what this neighborhood and their potential customers will respond well to.

Customer service is outstanding here. I had a drink while waiting, and that too was amazing! I ordered 2 tacos, something from the happy hour menu (definitely not what was described and what I expected), and requested a side of guacamole. I’m thinking I’ll get a side like when you go to Chipotle. My guac cost more than my meal. It was $15! I asked for a side of sourcream and was given a small side for $1. While they gave a lot of guac, the Pico and cheese were only added to the top, so the remainder of the guac was like eating plain avocado. I paid almost $50 for 2 tacos, a $7 happy hour drink & item, guac, and a side of sourcream. If I were to return it would only be for the drinks.
