I grew up with this restaurant. The food used to be way better back then. Now it’s overpriced and the quality dropped tremendously. And not just the food, but the customer service as well. The food was okay, but not worth $14. The rice was mushy, the chicken tasted like it wanted to be spicy but it wasn’t. The egg roll tasted old. Hopefully they get back to the quality they used to be, because this just wasn’t it. Sadly.

They’ve increased the prices and lowered the quality of the food. Mushy rice with old and fresh onions in it, sure sign of leftovers. Any fried items, wonton and egg rolls tasted fishy like it’s fried in the same oil as seafood and I hate seafood. Almost $40 for takeout for 2 people and 75% of it went in the trash.

I patronize this establishment for years. Only on a couple occasions did I have a complaint such as long delivery time, cold food and or food not fresh. But, this past week my experience was inexcusable and disheartening. That a restaurant you have spent your money with for years wouldn’t exchange a order that contained items that weren’t told to you when you specifically called and asked for details prior to coming. Then the dish had a spoiled ingredient and it was not up to par for 14.00 spent. Was told that they understood I brought the food before closing and couldn’t report. But when I explained I left for a Doctor’s appointment in Charleston at 7:45 and was just returning that evening but had the food to return in tact , abruptly the hell broke loose. Because you didn’t call first thing today and we don’t exchange or reimburse . I politely told them my business will discontinue and the proper authorities would be contacted for sour food. You spend Your Money with these establishments for years with no respect or honor for your loyalty.

Very good! First time eating in. Very clean interior. I ordered the house special lo mein, shrimp roll & tea. Food was delicious. Prepped fast. Sweet tea was very good. The owners as well as young man taking orders were friendly and courteous… I was surprised at how clean this place was inside, especially the floors… That house lo mein was the bomb.

If I could give a 0 I would egg roll taste like old cabbage cooked and old grease rice was blend NO FAVOR sweet and sour sauce TOOOO SWEET LIKE PUNCH WITH TO MUCH SUGAR waste of money

Today was my first time ordering from Goody’s and despite the mixed reviews, it’s safe to say I’m glad I decided to eat from here! I took the advice from the reviewers and placed my order one hour before my lunch break, far from dissatisfaction! I just wish they added bean sprouts to their rice, and the egg roll could’ve been a bit crunchier, but all in all, this was a great experience!

Wendy and her family are amazing. The food is just as amazing as the people making it. True NY style Chinese Food. We drive 45minutes every week to go there. Its worth the drive.
