I gave Basilico a 3 star base on the average of all the food we ate. Basically it’s better than Olive Garden or any chain Italian place but it’s not the absolute best Italian food I have ever tasted. I give the Garlic knots a 4 star. I give the Bruschetta a 2 star, you could easily make it at home. The tomatoes were not fresh. I’m almost 100 percent positive that it came from a container. I give the Chicken Parm a 4.5 star. It was pretty delicious. The sauce was very fresh and authentic. I give the Clams and Linguine a 3 star. And I give the Zappoli a 5 star, they were amazing.

This place used to be great, but it’s not anymore. I came to get a pick up order, I stood upfront for 10 minutes before anyone greeted or asked if I need help. It was not busy, otherwise I would’ve understood. Then when someone finally came up, she was scrolling on her phone while talking to me. After I told her I had a pick up order, I then waited another 5 minutes for it to be brought out to me. I got home and looked at my food. I had ordered a large chicken Alfredo, but the size I received looked like their regular portion. I had bought a large before, and it was served in a much larger container with a bigger portion. I’m not sure if they have changed this recently. As I was continuing to look at the food, I had ordered and paid for extra sauce, and it looks like there is none. And there was also a hair in my food. I tried to call the restaurant to see if I can get this issue fixed. I called 7 times, and no one picked up. I couldn’t even leave a message because there was no voicemail set up. I’m so disappointed because I really did enjoy the food here. I don’t wanna waste money for expensive food I can’t even eat. I’m going to try and call again tomorrow.

Went here for dinner on Father’s Day while on vacation and it was absolutely amazing. I had the linguine with clam sauce which was the best I’ve ever had. We also had the lasagna special, grilled salmon, and tortellini. Everyone was very happy with their meal and had nothing but positive things to say. It wasn’t fast by any means but the quality of the food made us happy to wait. I wish we could drag this place back home with us.

We were disappointed to be shoved in a table right beside the service station, to which traffic bumped into my seat most of the time we were there. I could understand being sat here if it was a busy evening, but there were several booths available at this time. The food wasn’t very memorable. But the service was friendly, which made this visit worth 3 stars.

Great meal. I knew everything was going to be wonderful when I saw my husband’s spaghetti and meatballs. Best sauce I’ve ever seen let alone tasted. And it came with 3 huge meatballs. We went on Sunday specifically so I could get mama’s lasagna. It must have been 4″ high and so flavourful I just absolutely loved it. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful and always there to help. I have a top 3 Italian restaurants in the Charlotte area, And now the top 2 are tied for 1st and Basilica is one of them.

Meal started with complimentary garlic knots and marinara sauce. Marinara sauce tasted clean and fresh. You could taste the basil and other seasonings. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with great anticipation because the Marina sauce was on par with the best I had eaten. Unfortunately the chicken cutlet was over fried and slightly burnt. My wife had the chicken picatta which was excellent. The flavor profile of the entrees was excellent enough to warrant another visit. The tiramisu was unfortunately underwhelming.
