My wife and I used a KBK Resort Collection gift card to check out this local spot. I have to say, we weren’t exactly impressed. First, you have to enter the restaurant through the hotel and that was just a lucky guess on our part as we didn’t see any viable signs or directions for the Burleigh. After a few minutes of awkward loitering inside the entrance we were finally greeted by a hostess. It was a warm fall evening so we expected that outdoor seating would be possible but it wasn’t. We were seated at a tiny table about 2 feet from a table of 4 people already eating. We kind of felt like we were sitting at their kiddy table. I assume there are other rooms of dining because we saw others coming and going but all we could see from where we were seated was the bar area…which appeared busier. We asked the gentleman who seated us if he was also our waiter and he says “oh, yes….in fact I’m everyone’s waiter tonight”. So short staffing seemed to be an issue on this night. Nice kid but clearly overworked. To sum up, the drinks were pricey but tasty. The steak tips and accompanying items we both ordered were decent but the ambiance was just nonexistent, at least where we were seated. I don’t think I’d go back unless in a pinch.

My husband and I went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Mu husband had duck poutine as an appetizer and fish and chips. Both were excellent. Fish and chips was especially good, very light batter nicely fried and flavorful. I had clam chowder and a classic wedge salad. Salad was a very good rendition of the classic, nice chunks of blue cheese amd juicy, ripe tomatoes. Clam chowder was fabulous. No sign of the overly thick, ubiquitous chowder that’s a staple in New England. This was light and flavorful with a nice smokiness from the bacon. They added corn which gave a sweetness and big chunks of clams in a beautiful seafood broth. So good!

Food hovers a step above mediocrity, but that seems to be the norm these days. Menu is very “safe”, which I guess is what rich white folks like. The portions of some things are a joke (meat and cheese board, deviled eggs), while others are just fine (calimari, mussels). Service (on a Tuesday) was just ok. The one who seemed like the assistant manager was trying his best, but the bartender didn’t make a great waiter. I thought maybe he was new, but overheard him say to others this was his second summer working there.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. The food is always fantastic and the people are friendly. My compliments to the kitchen staff, my only complaint is they got rid of the poutine! Lol

Located in the Kennebunkport Inn. This place is great! We had the Mezcal Mule, Sour Beer, and Mussels. It was dynamite. The Mezcal Mule was smoky and spicy. The Mussels were in a coconut milk broth and a side of crusty bread! The staff is great.

This was a truly delicious meal. We were staying at the Inn and decided to grab a meal downstairs as it was easy. The ambiance was perfect, the server, Tabatha, was very friendly and provided wonderful service, and the food was truly unbelievable. It came out fast and hot. The cheese board was perfect to share, the chowder was probably the best we have ever had, and the gnocchi mac and cheese was just phenomenal. The warm bread and soft butter made the meal complete. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

Surprisingly great live music tonight. Drinks were excellent and the desert was wonderful. Server brought check too early and we felt rushed at the end of a great experience.

A bit of a mixed review here. The seafood risotto was very good as well as the steak tips. However, the mashed potatoes were as if they came out of my refrigerator 3 days after thanksgiving. We also didn’t appreciate the fact that they sat us next to the ordering station and used it despite a station on the other side of the room was available. Was expecting more.
