I rarely rarely ever give a tin butthe tin but in this case the ribs and beans are a 9.8.

Man, I wish this place would reopen. After living in AZ my whole life (3rd gen), we moved a few years ago to NC. Nice place, but dreadful BBQ. When we’d come back to visit, we’d always stop at Lucky’s on the way to Prescott.

Had the three meat platter. It was plenty to share with my wife. Good Smokey flavor and tender meat.

Stopped here on the way up to Prescott. Has a small indoor seating area. The food was delicious. I would definitely come back.

Ok you want fantastic authentic smoked BBQ? Lucky’s is hands down THE best. Their brisket, chicken, pork is out of this world. Deep rich flavor. My fav is a classic smoked pulled pork bbq sandwich with coleslaw on top and a side of onion rings. They have several varieties of bbq sauces on the table to choose from, all are down home good. My photos don’t do justice because I started eating before I took pics! Crazy good. Go here. Seriously.

Hubby and I were caught out late after a doctor appointment and neither of us had eaten, and we happened to be right by Lucky’s. We were really impressed by the decor (Western/rustic) and cleanliness of the place. From the wagon wheel ceiling fans and flying pig mobile to the corrugated tin wainscoting, someone here has a great eye for design. They are also thinking of function, as there is a roll of paper towels on each table already, along with 4 different BBQ sauces (mustard, sweet, hot, and I think the other one was original) in squeeze ketchup type bottles. (We had to ask for wet wipes; felt like they should have been on the table in a BBQ joint). The menu is complete, but not overwhelming. You can get anything from brisket to ribs to burgers to chicken! They have a small kids’ menu, 2 high chairs and a booster seat; it’s a small place and while I love children I don’t think I would want to dine here if there were many more little kids than that (it’d be maybe too much for the rest of the diners! Clientele on this Tuesday night in February, about an hour before closing, consisted of mainly working men getting something to eat by themselves after work, it looked like, along with couples our age. The paved parking lot (in the back) is plentiful, but whomever painted the stripes on was really being conservative; we had trouble squeezing in midsize car ourselves and finally gave up and reparked further away, but then we sat at a window and watched others try (and fail) at parking too; it was comical! Our server was friendly and helpful. No one ever made us feel rushed. Food was really good! Hubby had the chicken and onion rings. Chicken was deeply smoked and had just the right flavor without even using any sauce at all! Onion rings are definitely house made, beer battered big thick rings with great flavor, but the batter is heavy; would love to see them lighten that up! We couldn’t physically eat more than a few, but we wanted to! I had “Andrew’s Burger” and I could tell the beef was high quality. It was cooked perfectly as ordered. French fries are not homemade, and that’s a shame, and I think would be cheaper for owners, but for frozen, they’re the upper limits of normal in quality. I appreciate that the burger wasn’t hiding behind any spices. This is the burger we all wish we could make at home. The bill was reasonable. We both agreed we definitely will go back and also plan to order some takeout BBQ. We don’t drink but for those who do they have a small selection of beers displayed to the right of the hostess stand. There is menu/table service here. They also have a colorful chalkboard menu behind the hostess station. (I forgot to ask for a takeout menu or if they have one.) Highly recommend you try Lucky’s! We’ll see you there!

Little hidden BBQ gem in a small town. The ribs are amazing, the brisket sandwich awesome and the customer service on point. Definitely stopping by again!

Went to Lucky’s BBQ for the first time while visiting Prescott and I got to say it was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The staff was super nice and service was great! I will definitely stop in again when I make it back to Prescott

I’ve been coming here for 2 years. There beef brisket is great. Make sure you get the brisket with fat. It’s moist, juicy and tender. They are the only bbq place that offers French fries and onion rings besides the Cole slaw, baked beans. The place is family owned and they, along with staff, are super friendly. What’s great is they remember my order from the last time. Friday and Saturday are there busiest days, so call them to see if they still have anymore fatty brisket or the pork ribs. They will let you know if they cooking more and how long to wait for the next batch of meat. Just a great place.
