Update: we finally were able to try the restaurant. We ordered bunch of small plates as well as a couple larger ones. Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was great as well. We will definitely be back!

Both the rooftop bar and Simmer down have amazing atmospheres, great drinks and great service. The cocktails are 10/10. The décor is clearly well thought out and creates such a nice ambiance. Definitely my new go to for a girls night or date night in Wilmington!

Overall excellent impromptu dinner. Definitely on the more expensive side but worth it for the experience.

Rooftop drinks at 5 before our 5:45 pm reservation. Very comfortable and plenty of room. Staff very attentive. Starters were Hamachi crudo and not a morsel remained. Fantastic! They forgot the coal roasted beets but we made no fuss. Branzino was over-the-top in taste and presentation. Artichoke Lasagnetta was a different dish but loaded with fresh ingredients and plenty of artichokes. Every dish should include the Potato Quoins as a side. Meyer lemon tart finished this tasty experience. Will be a repeat diner. Make this spot an all-occasion destination but bring your wallet. You won’t be disappointed.

Friday night dinner…took almost 30 minutes for our cocktails to be brought. Busy, but not slammed and plenty of staff, all of which were attentive so definitely strange to take that long. Food was just ok, our salad was swimming in dressing, fish was severely undercooked and plate was served barely warm. The pork shank was the highlight for sure. We also had to ask multiple times for the drinks/wine we ordered, almost like they were forgotten. Went to Simmer Down for after dinner drinks, but were told they “can’t make espresso martinis down there.” Just not a service-focused establishment, but it’s still early and we will be back to hopefully see the hotel/restaurant/bars be more smoothly run.

The restaurant accommodated our party of 20 and made our special occasion such a nice memory! We did the passed appetizers and the service was excellent, making sure we had drinks, full wine glasses and a clear table at all times while fulfilling requests from many of our boisterous group! The atmosphere is exceptional and the food was delightful. Thanks for the great night!

I was really excited to try the rooftop bar and basement bar but was ultimately disappointed. The ambiance, live music, scenery was absolutely terrific. The service however left much to be desired. It took 10 minutes to get our drink order taken, and another 20 to actually get our drinks on the rooftop bar. Upset with how long it took to get our drinks, we decided to go downstairs and see if that experience would be any better. Again, the place was stunning but we sat for nearly 15 minutes at the bar without ever being even acknowledged, we ended up not even getting a drink after that and leaving. Mind you the basement bar had all off 5 people there max. I kind of want to give the place a second try, but not if the service is not on point. It’s an amazing environment to eat or drink, but if it takes that long, it ruins the experience, especially at their price point.

Everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing, our second time here and another delicious meal! Chase our waiter was so friendly and helpful with making suggestions and guiding us thru the menu! I have an almond allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and also were accommodating with removing almond from certain plates so I could try the dish. We will be back for sure!!!
