Dined here many years ago on a “date night” while my partner and I were staying in the Beaver Creek area. She loves sushi; I like sushi, so we gave it a shot. Glad we did – it was a nice experience. The food was good, and the service and atmosphere were nice. In the end (not surprisingly), I liked it (I’m a bit pickier on what I like), and she loved it. Would recommend.

i quite literally never leave reviews but this place was sketchy. i got a bento box and the seaweed on the california roll was rotten? it looked like it had been sitting for a couple days. the “salad” was questionable lettuce with a bit of dressing. i was so grossed out i didn’t even eat my meal. i didn’t say anything because i don’t like to cause issues in a restaurant, but i wouldn’t go back. the server was nice but absent. super overpriced for the quality though. a friend of mine got white tuna and said it was completely flavorless and tasted like water. not worth it for the money.

I came to visit, but I would come again. This place is family owned, so the vibe you get makes you feel like you’re part of their family. I loved it!

All the sushi we got had such a god awful texture that no one at our table could eat it. The fish had all been pureed into a paste that elicited nightmares. The construction was also poor – the end pieces had zero filling and the nigiri fell apart. Look, I’ll slam grocery store sushi, I don’t need greatness! And we were SO hungry from skiing all day. But this? Eghh!

Walked in and wanted to get a roll before work. I asked if they would make a specialty roll. The J1 server said they wouldn’t. I asked if he could go ask and he returned and said no they wouldn’t. I was a little put off because any other place I’ve been to like zhengs in Glenwood Springs never had a problem. I too failed to let them know that I needed soy or rice paper instead of seaweed because of an allergy. I forgot to tell him because I’d written down on the napkin and normally other establishments make the specialty roll. I told the server. He basically said too bad. Either eat it or leave it. And then I mentioned it to him again that I have an allergy then he walked in the back, came back and took the roll and returned a short time after with the new roll. I appreciate they did that but I don’t appreciate server who could care less. I work in hospitality. Unfortunately I won’t return. The server also up charged for a side jalapeños. Would be nice to know. It’s not the amount, it’s the fact he should inform people.

My 3 boys and I had a wonderful meal there last week. The service was top notch, food was hot and fresh, and the BEST Panang Curry that’s ever touched my tongue! Atmosphere was perfect, clean, and inviting. Don’t miss this place if you’re traveling through Avon, CO!
