I ordered a pound of beef to go. Got back to work and it wasn’t beef. I called and told them they gave me pork. The lady replied “that’s all we have is pork”. To which I stated “beef is on your menu and that is what I ordered “. She replied “oh yeah we have beef too, bring it back up here and we’ll look at it. ” The food is usually very good. Today the hushpuppies were cold, hard and dry but everything else was great and the service is pretty friendly but they aren’t real knowledgeable of their own menu which is likely why they are giving the wrong thing and they aren’t trying to actually make it right. Check your to go orders before you leave. Still recommend since the food is good and the one girl who works up front is super friendly and helpful.

Everyone in this area raves about this place, unfortunately I was disappointed. Fries not crispy, no A/C, potato salad was oddly hard with weird flavor, didn’t care for the beans too much. My ribs were insanely good though! Boyfriend got tator tots, they were perfectly crispy! His pork sandwich or whatever, didn’t taste very good. I’m from California, where they have really good BBQ food. Super good service though.

I’m from Louisville, KY my wife is from Russellville. That being said, their service is why I love local small family restaurants. Food was very good and cooked with love. The staff treated me and my family like their own family. The place was clean and well kept.

I don’t have enough words to explain how much and the reasons why I love this place. We’ve been twice since moving to the area and we are planning on going back on multiple occasions! The food is amazing, service is great. Great small town feel to walking in and being greeted. Definitely a must go to location for some hometown cooking and BBQ! Even their catfish is delicious!!!!!

There is nothing better than your hometown BBQ joint. I have been all over the south and spent significant time in KC and Memphis on work trips. There is nothing better than Roy’s baked beans. Love everything we get from here…. Pork sandwiches, catfish, cole slaw, fried mushrooms, and fried pies… All comforting and satisfying.

Delicious food, delicious fried pie, excellent service, great quiet homey atmosphere. Absolutely nothing to complain about, except for how far it is from home. We had the fried chicken and the pork plate, everything was excellent. The sweet tea was as good or better than any I’ve had in my life, the pork was perfect, tender, flavorful, spicy. The sides were all great, the squash, Mac and cheese, perfectly seasoned, great home cooked tasting food. The potato salad reminded me of what my mother made 15 years ago. After paying, we decided on a peach fried pie to take with us, and it was amazing. Tender, fluffy, buttery crust, dusted with sugar and filled with sweet, tender peaches. Can’t beat that, absolutely recommend if you’re in the area. They also had a drive through and carry out, however you get it, I’m sure it’s great.

The sides were absolutely amazing…the pulled pork had zero taste until you put the sauce on it that’s the reason for 3 stars. There was no seasoning on the meat before it hit the smoker.

The BBQ at this place is good. But the Cajun catfish is today for on the menu. Ask for extra seasoning. What a great down-home place. Everybody there knows each other. I definitely will be back. Was not a fan of the barbecue sauce. Video review coming soon to the Jack on the go show on YouTube.
