On our 11 day trip we ate here multiple times due to the amazing food, fun atmosphere, and great drinks! The staff is friendly and the ramen is truly the best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the pork belly, the Kara-age (Japanese fried chicken), the shoyu ramen, hapa-g, and the curry ramen. The Hapa-g was hands down the best ramen I’ve ever had. My husband, who typically dislikes ramen, actually asked to go back twice because he enjoyed the curry ramen so much. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve eaten a lot of ramen across the US, and this is amongst the best I’ve had. The tonkotsu (ask for it spicy!) had the basics done excellently – perfect noodles, rich broth, and tender pork. Plus, what better ambiance than a stylish, second story, open air establishment in Kauai? Don’t worry about the earlier reviews mentioning counter service – since opening in February it is now running normally with regular sit down service.

Our second time dining here since their opening and we continue to have a great experience. Their fried pork belly and chicken karaage appetizers are too good. The ramen portions are large, with my other half happily feeling full and with me getting to have a good amount of leftovers for a second meal. Since first opening, they now have a traditional dining experience where you order at the table rather than hostess stand (I think the alternative was in place due to not having enough staffing yet). The quality is amazing and the atmosphere is gorgeous, we are already looking forward to our next dinner date here.

A pleasant surprise. Shoyu ramen had some complexity to the flavor. Was a bit salty but didn’t need to be and could overpower the flavor just a bit. Otherwise we’ll constructed bowl, tender chashu, crisp bok choy, aldente noodles.

We recently moved to Kauai and we love trying spots we’ve not been too and we love a good Ramen spot…After a Google search Hapa Kauai Ramen & whiskey popped up. After being stuck in the house due to weather…we needed to explore and try something new for us. This Ramen spot didn’t disappoint. We got their in time for HH so were able to get a couple drinks and appetizers off the HH menu. We ordered the Kaarage fried Chicken, Ahi poke nachos, Haku Passion and classic Mai Tai. Then we ordered 2 Shoyu Ramens…about $100ish…then we ordered 2 more drinks

We had the Hapa G-special ramen, Tonkotsu ramen, chicken karage, and two cocktails Pacific Breeze and Sake Lychee. The food and drinks tasted fine (we liked both ramens although the soups are salty) but overpriced especially when there isn’t really table service. The ordering system is not efficient – you order at the counter when you first come in, so you already stand in the line once but you have to go back to pay when you are done so you waste time twice. Not sure why they don’t have the customers pay when they order.

Had a wonderful Bday dinner at the newest spot in Kakui Ula. They are doing a great job of being able to give you an upscale experience with limited workforce. Instead of a server you pay for your order with the hostess, you take your seat, and before you know it, your food and drinks show up. We got the rice bowl with Karaange chicken, fried pork belly and shared a Ramen bowl.

Hapa is amazing! Loved the service and the food had me delirious before it arrived. We got the Hapa ramen bowl and the cold soba noodles. The happy hour has amazing starters and super yummy drinks! The atmosphere is lovely! So excited

The ramen and soup temperature wasn’t hot enough when it came out. As a Californian and Chicagoan, ramen north of $20 is a bit hard to swallow. But the kid’s ramen at $15 was the same size as the adult. Score!

Great food! Cool atmosphere and the sunset view is amazing. The owner even came by and said thank you to make sure everything was good. Taro chips were yummy. Tonkatsu and Shoyu ramen were bomb. Thanks for coming to Kauai!
