We are a family-owned, French-inspired restaurant located in a beautiful, historic setting in Old Town Pasadena. We focus on sustainable ingredients, and offer a unique mirrored menu concept where our vegetarian dishes shine as bright as our meat and seafood classics.
Dean Yasharian is the Chef/Owner of Perle, and is classically trained in 3 and 2-star Michelin kitchens in the U.S. and Europe under world-renowned chefs, including Daniel Boulud, Gordon Ramsay, and Daniel Clifford. Chef Dean combines his love of rusticity with fine-dining elegance, which perfectly describes the cuisine at Perle: comforting flavors, French classics with a twist, and sumptuous cookery served in an informally elegant setting.

We walked in on a Friday early evening with no reservation. The host accommodated us with two seats at the bar in the back, which we were very happy about given how busy they were and the fact that it was fully booked online. I was very excited and hyped after reading all the great reviews.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at Perle for the 2nd year in a row. Our first experience there was exceptional; best tasting menu we’d ever had. Alas, our second visit exceeded the first. The front of house service is incredible, top to bottom. We felt welcome and cared for. The food was divine. No other way to say it. Wine pairings, brilliant. Odin was a fantastic server.

This is a chic restaurant that has a limited a la carte menu. It does feature a corresponding page of vegetarian offerings as well as a three course prix fix menu. Service is excellent and unhurried. Our server is quite knowledgeable. The steak tartare is pretty standard. The escargot was herby and buttery delicious. The steak frites was cooked medium rare as requested. My branzino was moist with crispy skin and paired well with the ratatouille. The truffle pasta was disappointing; we can’t appreciate the truffle as it got overpowered by the cream. The nice apple tart tatin was a nice finish. The West comes East cocktail is a must try.

We visited Perle for my dad’s birthday dinner and had a great experience! Our server Garrison was great. I am vegan and was really pleased with all the vegan options, including vegan butter, vegan mushroom “escargots”, vegan truffle pasta, and “coq” au vin. The steak, mussels, and branzino also all got my family’s seals of approval! Will definitely go back when I’m in the area!

A really delicious French bistro in the heart of old town Pasadena. Last night, Sunday, was my first time having dinner here and if I’m back in the area it would be a place I would return to. Service was a bit slow however. We arrived at 5:55 for a 6PM reservation. We weren’t sat until 6:08 but ordered immediately because we were looking at the menu while waiting. The appetizers did not arrive until just after 6:40 and we were a table of two starting with a soup and a salad. That being said our server Harrison did a great job and was not a part of the slow down at all. The interior is really well done and I especially like how partitions are dividing each of the tables for sound dampering.

Superb dinner, excellent service. We came for a lovely dinner and Odin was our server, he was fantastic. I had the salmon and it was delectable. We also had the escargot which was stuffed generously. My husband had the steak and loved it, cooked to perfection. My only qualm were the oysters. They were a let down; painfully small (we were sold that they were briny and they were they exact opposite). We would pass on those in the future. The wine pairing was delicious. Highly recommend for a lovely night out ☺️

What a great surprise! My friend and I stopped by for late night wine and appetizers. We felt so lucky to be at the restaurant. It was so lovely and they did a great job making it covid safe. The ambience, the food, and the service were amazing! I started with a yummy Rose from France. The best! And the escargot and pate were mouthwatering. I ate every bit of it. And our server was so kind, and he was so knowledgeable about food and the food industry. He had great recommendations and he was so entertaining. I’ll will definitely be back … and often!
