Super good! Just passing through with a friend on our way to Salt Lake City. Had the large brisket plate. Super good! Huge portion of brisket. Okra and Seasoned Spuds were great! Cornbread was a little dry, but that’s my only complaint. A great stop. I’m glad we gave it a try! Would highly recommend!

I just got here from Florida and couldn’t wait to have BBQ brisket, we ordered fried okra and jalapeño poppers the fried okra was good the I ordered the 2 meat plate brisket and ribs the brisket was all fat and the ribs tasted like leftovers the beans had no flavor the potatoes salad was mashed so don’t know what went into that my daughter ordered 3 meat plate ribs were the same old tasting meat and the seasoned potatoes looked old and over cooked and were cold her sausage with cheese was cold the waitress said oh iwas going to bring you the potatoes that just came out but they already put these there she brought her some fries instead and gave me 3 slices of brisket that was fine but I already felt sick never going back there when we told the manager she said we were the only one to complain as if that was going to make it better she kindly took our plates off the bill that was the nicest thing about that place

Just got to Abilene, TX after driving all day from El Paso, TX. We were immediately welcomed and stopped in before the dinner rush. My husband and I both had an excellent dinner, and are feeling very content. Glad we decided to stop here before resting for the night at our hotel. Our waitress was also wonderful and very sweet. Excellent food and excellent staff all around. Thank you for making our first moments here great.

I went drive thru and the service was good, but the brisket I paid 24.99/lb for was dry and didn’t even taste like it was smoked. I started to get 2 lbs, but changed it to a pound when I heard how much Market Price was. I get that they’re in business to make money, but being unsatisfied with the food I’m purchasing will lose my business rather than gain it.

Came in at 5pm…only 2 cars in the parking lot…that should of been my first clue. First off waitress was rude and not attentive to my order. I asked for cups for our drinks twice as we were sitting waiting for our food ..saw on the receipt that it had been marked to go. Told the waitress it’s for here. The order came out to go still without drinks. Food didn’t taste fresh . We had pulled pork and chicken. None of the 3 of us are much and left. Terrible experience and will not come back.

We used to go to Betty Rosa’s around 12 years ago. It was so much better then. Prices have gone up so much, and most of the time, the brisket has a lot of fat on it.

Described as chips and queso the chips were light and crispy but the queso tasted like nacho cheese from a can. Not impressive. The fried cheese had an unknown crust as opposed to bread crumbs or panko. The onion rings were very fresh piping hot and the onions were thick. The tempura batter was thick also but great execution. I was looking for texas style brisket with heavy bark salt and pepper crust with a smoke ring. The brisket was tender possibly from being blanched or boiled. Same with the ribs. The grilled chicken was possibly marinated in Italian dressing. I was looking for a barbequed quarter of chicken basted and salt and peppered. The pulled pork was standard fare and I would have liked to have seen flour tortillas. The ambiance was excellent. Very clean and nicely done. Bathrooms were very nice.
