Great place to stop on the way to Pololū Valley Lookout. Very friendly people and great food. I had the Ono fish and chips and they were great. My wife had fish tacos and she enjoyed them. There was and early afternoon storm that rolled in and the Lania protected us from the 10 minute downpour. This is a hidden gem for sure.

This was my first experience of tacos on the big island. I was impressed by the use of grass fed beef tallow, coconut, and avocado oils for cooking. That is something rare that you don’t find at most restaurants in the mainland. You can tell that everything is made with fresh ingredients. I wish I had more time to try everything on the menu. But the pulled pork tacos were super good!! I recommend anyone in the area to give it a try.

If you’re wondering whether you should eat here, no more hesitation. It’s delicious. The fish in the tacos is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries are cooked in tallow which is much healthier and tasty the veg oils. Friendly people, nice bathrooms. Great out door seating.

Fun spot with a unique menu. I tried the bahn mi with the catch of the day. It was super fresh, and I really enjoyed it. The purple potato salad was good, too. Combined with the scenic walk at the end of the road — this was an unforgettable meal.

This place was absolutely incredible!!! Probably the best meal we had on our week long trip. You can tell this place cares about the quality of the food they offer and our intentional about the flavor combinations for each dish. We had the fish tacos, banh mi with fresh catch and the Superman dish. One of the owners sat and talked with us for awhile and he was awesome. So friendly and welcoming and offered some great suggestions for the rest of our trip.

Hands down some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. Every component of the tacos was on point: the tortillas, the pork, the fish, the veg, the salsa and the sauce. The homemade tortilla chips with black beans and tallow fries were awesome compliments to the tacos. Cannot recommend them enough. They have a vision and a plan and are executing it with style and skill. Well worth the drive to this beautiful corner of the big island.

This place is a hidden gem. They have the best fish tacos I have ever had! I don’t know if that’s because we ate here after a hike, but wow! 100% recommend. They have a small seating area, but the food is something I’ll be dreaming of.
