I’ve just experienced the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. My previous pic for this, was a place in Kennett Square that has been closed for repairs for a couple of years now. I was so excited when I saw it show up to the table because I could tell it was cooked perfectly. The breading was light, crunchy and not oily. The fish tasted buttery and fluffy and the tartar sauce was spot on. It wasn’t too much or too little and it also came with french fries that needed no other topping. My guess is both were cooked in clean oil and the chef knew just how long to cook them both. The coleslaw was also delicious and a nice pallet cleanser. On top of that they serve Harp and Guinness on tap and the bartender couldn’t have been more delightful. I was also secretly happy that my wife ordered the same thing so I didn’t have to share. My wife also had the homemade tea which she said was delicious, as it must have been she had three glasses. We will most certainly be back soon and while I might be convinced to try some other stuff on the menu my heart right now is thinking about that fish and chips.

Excellent out of the way pub! I went mid-afternoon and there were only a few people at the bar. Great atmosphere, TVs over the bar so you can watch some sports. Bartender was super nice. I had the fish and chips and a Tito’s Moscow Mule with cranberry juice. The fish was amazing! Not the frozen kind you get at the store, there was a lot of fish, battered and crispy. French fries were delicious, not too much salt. Perfection! If you’re in the area, you need to check this place out!

That has been memorable in the worst possible way. Weekday in July, and they weren’t so busy. We waited for our order – fish&chips and crab cakes, for over an hour. The fish and chips were a disaster, unseasoned and with French fries instead of chips. The cab cakes were ok, but they also came with fries, which were so soggy, they must have been lunch leftovers!!!! The coleslaw was so totally tasteless, I’m at a loss of how they managed? The waitress didn’t come over ones, unless we specifically flagged her down to ask what’s going on? On a precious vacation schedule wasting time on this place would be a crime!

Super laid back pub style place with tasty dishes. Nice variety of choices for light and hearty appetites. Our waitress was friendly and wonderful to our 3yr old. Spacious booths and quick service. Only improvement would be the beer selection. I loved the crab cakes and sweet cream corn with asparagus. And my hubby loved his fish and chips.

I hate to give a place I have enjoyed in the past a bad review. I understand a place being short staffed and having to wait. What I don’t understand is a hostess that is sitting at the bar drinking beer with her girlfriends while I witness 5 tables walk out because of lack of service. I hope ownership will take notice and correct the problem. I have pictures of the offending party.

We had never been here before and just happened to stumble upon it since everywhere else had a 2 hour wait. We were greeted immediately, our server was great also. The drinks were on point, we ordered the hummus which was fantastic! My mother got the Cape mac and cheese and I got their salmon. Their salmon was some of the best I’ve ever had! The maple vinaigrette was amazing, and the asparagus was cooked to perfection. We plan on returning soon !
