Outstanding service, food mostly good especially the seafood, and Caesar salad, good desserts. Sent back a prime rib, but still was billed for it. Over cooked New York steak.

We were visiting Denver from the Cincinnati area and heard from many that the Palace Arms was a must! Upon arrival at The Brown Palace Hotel, we were delighted by the beauty of the lobby and enjoyed a few moments of the jazz combo playing before we entered the restaurant. The Palace Arms is steeped in history and the decor certainly reflected that! We started with a glass of Cava for me and an old fashioned for him along with the caviar and blini. A real treat! I ordered the salmon and the skin was perfectly crisp and delicious. His NY strip looked more like a filet very thick and boxy instead of long. He also had to send the steak back as he’d ordered medium and it arrived rare. Arrival of our first drinks took almost 30 minutes. We were told a server had called off. But our server did not charge for my Cava as an apology, and gave us a comp sherbet for dessert. The check came with two large and delicious chocolate truffles. Despite the bit of a service hiccup, we enjoyed the meal tremendously. I’d recommend for anyone looking for an elegant meal in a very interesting venue.

Great food, but even better service. Menu describes the Palace Arms as a dining museum and the relics of Napoleon make a beautiful and unique environment.

Been here a few times in the last year or so. It used to be good, there was a gentleman who worked the room by himself that was so good to us, what happened to him? Also noticed the young lady that is an amazing server and taken care of us as well, is behind a host stand? What’s wrong with the management here???!!! It’s absolutely fell off the rails in so many ways. What a joke if a fine dining restaurant, shame on the ones that are in control of this restaurant, they should all be fired.

We came to dinner here a couple weeks ago for our anniversary. The hostess congratulated us first thing. Our server was Merrick and he was top notch! We loved the table side made Caesar Salad. My husband ordered the duck and it was delicious. I ordered the vegan risotto with mushrooms and it was good but I wouldn’t rave about it. The side dish of veggies we got were cooked to perfection. At the end of dinner we were offered complimentary chocolate truffles. The ambiance is so lovely. It felt nice to be taken care of in this beautiful space. Highly recommend!

When you’re staying at the Brown Palace for a special occasion, as were my wife and I, and you want to be a little decadent without regard to cost, a fabulous dinner at the Palace Arms is “just what the doctor ordered.” Highly professional staff, absolutely outstanding entrees, great wine list, elegant cozy atmosphere.

We have a friend who was celebrating a big birthday on December 24, so wanted the evening to be special for him. I spoke directly with the dining department when making my reservation. Once seated at our table, we were surprised to learn that rather than having the entire menu to choose from, our only option was their prix fixe dinner, which included a small salad, beef wellington and a dessert, and there was no price quoted on the sheet they gave us describing the meal. These are details I would have expected to hear when I made the reservation, but were never mentioned. Sadly, the service was terrible – our salad was served before our dinner drinks arrived, and the entree was served right on top of that. We had to ask for the same things several times: a new fork, bread, etc. I can understand that in an average restaurant, but certainly not this one! The salad was surprisingly small, and the dressing was undetectable. We were told our beef wellington would be served medium rare (which we preferred) yet it came out medium well and with undercooked vegetables. The best course of the three was dessert. So imagine our disgust when the bill arrived, and the price of JUST the meal was $175.00 per person and no, that didn’t include drinks!!! Normally, their highest priced entree is in the $70 range, so this was well more than twice what we were expecting! Should we have asked the price? In hindsight yes, but we never dreamed a restaurant held in such high esteem would stealthily and blatantly rip off its guests! I will never set foot in any Brown Palace restaurant again. Shame on you!!!

If you consider price and portion size with the quality of food, this place is not worth your time at all. 4 out of our 6 entrees came out cold. Place skates by on its history and ambiance to charge a premium price for just decent food.
