This place is not to be missed! Some of the best fried chicken ever! Mrs Louise, the Manager made me feel right at home! My meal was so delicious and cost less than $10! You won’t be disappointed!

We love Miss Ora’s! I’ve been three time and the food is very, very good and surprisingly consistent. Simply the best fried chicken in the area, and the quality of the sides matches. Plus a little sweet potato visit from next door.

Amazing food but really expensive!! The menu said snack box included chicken, a side, and a biscuit but I was charged for everything individually and my two pieces of chicken, leg and thigh was $13. My lunch cost $30!! It was good but wowzers…

The food was yummy. Best collards I’ve ever had. The fried chicken is simple and simply wonderful. Best part of our lunch, today, was the warm welcome and sweet reception by Louise and all the folks who served us. Louise actually told us the story of Miss Ora and went next door to Sweet Potatos to bring over Miss Stephanie, the owner/chef. Awesome!

I was in town for a conference this week and had the fish for lunch and some banana pudding for dessert. It was great! The food and service was phenomenal. Before we left I went back with 2 more co workers and had the chicken and it was great as well. Of course I got some banana pudding for the road. My co workers enjoyed it as well. If you are considering Miss Ora’s Kitchen you should definitely go! You will be glad you did.

First time trying this. Oh, my! The fried chicken is amazing – cooked right there in front of you. The sweet potato tots were the real thing – nothing artificial there. The cucumber salad, wonderful. And, the sweet potato biscuits – what more can be said?! The welcome and the service were the best ever! Counter service, sidewalk eating, or take-out only – but who’s to complain – With delighted customers to talk to, the entire experience was phenomenal. If you’re especially blessed, you may get a bit of fatback to chew on. Took me back to my grandmother’s kitchen. Thank you!

We went last week with family. They are open for take out or they have 2 tables out front. We had the fried chicken and sweet potato biscuit! Fabulous reminded me of my grandmother’s fried chicken! Met Ms. Louise and she was wonderful, lovely soul. Will MOST definitely return.

This has easily become my top soul food location in the triad. Very clean and welcoming. Located right beside the popular Sweet Potatoes sister restaurant in downtown this will be a mainstay for years to come. The staff is always fun and willing to answer any questions about items on their very simple menu. The quality of the food and never changes and is always consistent. Chef Louise was extremely gracious the last time I was able to visit and carried on a great conversation while customers where in the diner. I really look forward to seeing this local restaurant proper and become a safe haven for people visiting in need of a little home cooking and southern hospitality.
