I got the shrimp tempura and eel rice bowl. The rice was very mushy and overcooked. The tempura was bland. The eel was void of taste. The meal was a disappointment.

Visited per a friend’s recommendation (lilmissmodel on instagram). Came July 19th, 2022 right when they opened (11:00 a.m.). My friend Michelle recommended their #21, so I got the #21 COLD Tempura Soba combo ($14.48) and added a #27 White Fish ($2.50).

Food portion extremely small for the price tag 20 special bow is 3 piece fish a slice of shrimp, and some fish egg. Extremely overpriced. Quality isn’t even that great.

I like the place, the food is good, tasty and they have several options. The staff is fine, not much interaction with customers though. I usually have the jumbo shrimp (see picture). Great option for a quick lunch. During the week is not that busy, you’ll get your food quick.

Have been there twice. Good Tendon. I like their fried egg, tempura white fish, tempura veggie and tempura eel. Tempura shrimp was not very fresh this time. Pickle was good. You can order your meal at the kiosk. And you can get the reward points

The food quality is on and off, but generally good (it all depends on the time of the day you order it) Everything is hot and fresh but miso soup one time tasted bad.

One of the better tempura places around although I truly miss the presentation of the food prior to COVID-19. I put up a picture from 2015 to show presentation then. You place an order and can take home but this food doesn’t do well as takeout. It does much better if you can eat it in the common dining space or if you’re uncomfortable with that just bring it back to your car and eat it there. The crispness of the tempura fry is what you desire and that suffers if you wait too long to eat this. So the best way to enjoy dishes from this place shuts as soon as you get your order from the kitchen. It’s not as enjoyable otherwise.

oThis is located inside the Mitsuwa marketplace. It’s one of the most popular restaurants in Tokyo and they have a few branches around the world. Before the pandemic, this place regularly had lines on the weekends. The original (fish) and chicken tendon are my favorites. The fish is always buttery soft and the chicken is juicy half the time (sometimes it’s way too dry). Since the pandemic, I’ve opted to have their food delivered via UberEats. It’s best to have it as soon as it’s made, but I was surprised to find that delivery was not terrible. The tempura is not as crispy but it still have some texture and the flavor is still there. So while not ideal, I’ll take it over not having it 🙂
