Our default pit stop . Popeyes is good .. nice food . Hope the service can be better. Love this rest area. Clean .. they follow covid guidelines. Most of our fav restaurants and coffee shop here . First Popeyes I’ve ever been to. Everything is separate chicken sandwich is $8.99 and comes with nothing. You could tell the chicken sandwich has been sitting out for hours and was over cooked. I actually don’t know if I’ll make it home without throwing up.

Arrived at 9:50am saw the customer lines were closed using the corral lines. There were 5 employees up at the register and behind the counter. I could see chicken in their warmers so I asked if they were opened. The manager half answered “in a few minutes” no eye contact or offer of time they open. Two other employees saw me checking the corral lines and laughed when I asked if they were opened. So I walked around the travel center and came back this time the corral lines were opened and I stepped up to the register. Stood there for a bit and at this point no employees were in sight. Mind you I’ve been driving a tractor trailer since 230am so I’m hungry. Needles to say I didn’t get service and the friendliness of the employees was certainly lacking. Sad cause I’ve had extremely good service here in the past.

I went here to get a chicken sandwich while I was stopped in Delaware on a road trip. I was surprised when I saw the only thing available was chicken tenders! They did have great chicken tenders but, next time I think I’ll stop at a Popeyes with chicken sandwiches.

Food is too salty for current nutritional standards. However, the supervisor was excellent, she was able to supervise the drive thru and keep watch over a trainee simultaneously, and keep an eye on the shift change of the other staff.
