The place has a very peaceful vibe and the omakase was good. The best was either the okara or the soup broth. Love that the place has a very formal Japanese environment to it in the sense you feel like you’re in Japan. My issue was that although the food was good for the price it needed more. We left still hungry.

Overall, a decent spot with homey Japanese food. The best things we had that night was the asparagus and pork soup. However, even those I felt like you could’ve gotten similar quantities in a konbini in Japan, but I suppose we’re not in Japan. For a $66 set course, I was expecting either larger portions or more fitness in the food. All three of us left the restaurant feeling hungry and not satisfied.

Best Japanese food in NYC hands down. Authentic, cozy, home cooked meal. Great service too. Really a hidden gem.

Surprisingly authentic Japanese food! All Omakase dishes are so good, especially the sashimi! Good vibe and feeling homey! A good place to chill with friends after work!

We walked in this restaurant randomly on a late night ant it was surprisingly good. The ramen is not greasy at all (and therefore perfect for a late night craving). The chazeku is amazing and just has this comforting effect on me. Will come back for the omakase.

Set omakase menu, but you can order other things at the end of your meal. It’s pretty pricey for what you get.

We randomly walked in this place since I was tired and hungry after the 19-hour-flight back home.

Amazing family restaurant, not exactly cheap but reasonably priced. Can’t understand why it’s not more popular. Almost all guests are japanese so you know this place is authentic.
