Great little dinner spot. Very nice pastas and other dishes. We were lucky to arrive when there was a table open, as there are only a few tables here. Cool low-light kind of personable place. Great for date nights or a relaxing dinner.

We had a very nice dinner here. The staff was very attentive. The meatball appetizer was flavorful. The calamari steak was well spiced and cooked to perfection. The black pasta and seafood special was excellent. Come early, the restaurant fills up fast.

Amazing service and food, it is a nice and quiet restaurant perfect for date night. Me and my husband just stumbled across this lovely restaurant and we will be coming back. I ordered the tortellini with sausage and my husband ordered the lasagna delicious.

Favorite Italian spot in sf. Food is delicious and always consistent. Service is amazing, staff are very helpful regarding questions over the menu. Staff are very attentive and give great dish recommendations. Good atmosphere. My favorites are penne bettola, pesto fettuccine (the best pesto fettuccine), salads have great dressings, and their tiramisu is delicious.

I came to Nob Hill expecting a generic touristy restaurant. By the time I received an appetizer, I we so surprised at how delicious and authentic the food taste. I ordered a beef carpaccio, penne, and tiramisu for dessert.

Nob Hill Cafe is a hidden gem. The food is clearly homemade and everything was absolutely delicious. The ambience is cozy and inviting, and the staff is so friendly and lovely. We had such a fantastic experience here. Located on a quaint block in a beautiful neighborhood, you can’t go wrong. I absolutely recommend going!

Love this place! We visit everytime we’re in San Francisco. Which isn’t a lot since we live in Dallas. Great pasta. Never tried their pizza though. I had lasagna which was yummy and me wife had the ravioli special which she gets pretty much everytime whatever it is. It’s a small place so we usually have to wait for a table, but we got there around 6:30 on Saturday and were sat right away. Wait started pretty soon after. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Will definitely return next trip to SFO.

How on earth does this place have good reviews? Are they all tourists? I’ve been living in SF since 2003 and I’d never been here. I went last Thursday on a friend’s rec. I had a great salad with amazing dressing. Then I ordered the angel hair pasta which was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. It wasn’t angel hair. It was spaghetti probably from a grocery store and it was overcooked. Which is kind of funny because angel hair would take seconds to cook an if you’re trying to pass this store bought spaghetti off as angel hair, why would you accidentally leave it in the pot too long? I just ate my own angel hair pasta and it was 100% better than nob hill cafe’s. I can’t believe I had to wait for a table. I can’t believe people love this place. I can’t believe they gave me spaghetti when I’d ordered angel hair. There are literally 1 million better italian restaurants in this city. Avoid this place like the plague. It’s like Olive Garden without the bread sticks.

There were 4 of us and we waited about 30 min and had a bottle of wine while we waited. Not too bad. We shared a mushroom and sausage pizza as our appetizer – really good along with a couple of salads. We just came back from Tuscany and the pizza was pretty good by comparison. We had the lasagna, clam linguine and 2 of the discussion, lamb ragu and the sole. All were good and is definitely return. Prices and wine list are reasonable. Had the chocolate ganache – yum!
