The food was amazing and love the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant! Very reasonable prices for a Cajun place, they give you generous portions! I was not a fan of the gumbo but love the jambalaya, red beans &rice, shrimp po-boy and the mashed potatoes! Definitely plan to return to try out other items!

Love the original Jazz! Have had the best oysters lately! Recently had their crayfish & andouille pasta, shrimp etouffe, blackened chicken alfredo and shrimp czarina. It was all amazing!

Wow! Amazing Cajun food! A ton of flavor with a kick of heat. If you like mushrooms, you will LOVE their stuffed mushrooms (see pic). Their Seafood St Charles is outstanding (large portion).

In the enchanting realm of Jazz a Louisiana Kitchen, Tennessee Williams’ spirit thrives. With staff radiating Southern charm and hospitality, and the captivating melodies of live jazz, patrons are transported to the heart of Louisiana. The culinary journey unfolds with robust flavors of Creole and Cajun cuisine, meticulously crafted dishes that pay homage to tradition. From gumbo’s tantalizing dance of spices to jambalaya’s vibrant medley, each bite becomes an artistic masterpiece. In this luminous world, where hospitality, music, and cuisine intertwine.

Thursdays are for Oysters & Boulevard! Server was excellent, music rocked, food was amazing as usual… Charles gobbled the shrimp and rolled to the music.

Went there to watch the Jazz duo for my friend’s college class. The Jazz duo played traditional New Orleans jazz songs from back in the day. The food and service were very good, but a little pricey. We had the appetizer sampler platter, which was enough to feed two. The Onion rings- very good, unusual. Fried mushrooms my favorite. New Orleans style beans and rice tasty, with a great sauce and flavor. Service was very good. The popcorn shrimps good, with 3 different sauces for it all. Bread good. The dinners I found pricey, about $29. But more than likely- very good! Drinks sort of pricey- I just had a coke. I don’t drink alcohol.

Apparently you are only entitled to customer service when you dine in. When you dine in you receive bread with your order but they charge you for bread when you order to go. I spent $44 on a to go order and was told by the manager it’s “because it’s a recession”. The logic makes no sense to still provide to dine in customers if that’s the case. Been going to this Jazz location for 20 years – when Slick still ran things. Jazz even catered my mother’s wedding. I won’t be back at either location. I know how to make pretty much everything on the menu and I go out of the convenience and nostalgia. I promise if this wasn’t my first meal in over 24 hours they would have been keeping the order and giving me my money back. I have no problem keeping *my* money so i wont be back. You know…since it’s a recession and all 🙂

I like food from Louisiana and this place did not disappoint. The food is so tasty and the place has a touch of Jazz ambiance. The price is reasonable too. It’s a bit dark though if you come here for lunch. Nonetheless, my experience was okay. Keep it up!
