We sat at the bar on a slow Friday evening. Bartender got us water and 1st round of drinks. After that, we were an afterthought as she got soaked into a deep conversation with an aquantince at the bar top. We ordered our food. I chose the Ribeye medium rare, and my buddy chose the pork tenderloin. Roughly 35 minutes later, the non engaged bartender let my friend know that they ran out of whipped potatoes and that they would double up on the vegetables ( very little veggies were on his plate ). My top sirloin oops, I mean my ribeye was flat and flavorless although cooked to temp It lacked in what I call a Ribeye. For such an up close and personal operation of seeing the chefs prep and prepare your dining experience within view, it was a lack luster dining experience.

I visited on a Saturday evening with a friend and was completely enchanted with the entire experience. From the attentive wait staff to the unique and delicious flavors throughout each dish, every detail was perfection. In a downtown full of so many other restaurants and multiple shops, I wasn’t expecting to find a place that transports you from the overwhelming hustle and bustle to an intimate environment that allows you to feel a world away, but that is exactly what Main & Lincoln did! I sincerely enjoyed every minute spent here and will definitely be visiting to experience it all again soon. I would definitely recommend Main & Lincoln to anyone looking for more than your typical restaurant atmosphere; you will not be disappointed!

The best and the only nice place to eat downtown Valpo. Chef George and his staff are truly the best. We always have good time and eat well. Try their salmon or Amish chicken!

Decent place to go for a night out downtown. Nothing truly superb about this place, but you are able to get a good meal. Service was fast and friendly, atmosphere is a bit lackluster, and it could use an overhaul of the menu and general “feel” of the place. Just an average restaurant situated in a nice area in downtown Valparaiso.

Wow! Fabulous service & food. Tammie was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Caesar salad and calamari for our appetizer. Calamari was so tasty—a nice change from traditional Italian calamari. We ordered pasta and ribeye for dinner and everything was cooked perfectly. Great ambiance. Drinks served timely. Tammie checked on us frequently to ensure we were happy and kept our drinks full. Clean bathrooms as well! Will definitely return & recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
