I had high expectations going in based on everything I had read and I was not disappointed. We went late, so had no wait, and the service was absolutely spot on. If they were annoyed we came in less than an hour before close, they certainly didn’t show it.

My wife and I were in search of some Latino dishes and went to Don Carlos on Cherokee only to find out that they were closed on Jan 28 & 29, 2023. Their Google profile said that they opened at 10:00 am however, when we got there that wasn’t the case, so we were VERY disappointed. I LOVE visiting small businesses because I am a small business owner myself and feel they have the best experiences. So my wife and I had to regroup and find a new restaurant to try that would give us what we were looking for. She remembered that there was a restaurant that she had been wanting to try and have been watching for a few months now, that is Latino cuisine. So we went. Listen people, this is an experience you have to have! The restaurant is right on the corner of McNair in the heart of Benton Park and the staff is warm, welcoming and tons of fun. They weren’t weird or awkward explaining the menu and really gave us a complete, perfect experience. We ordered the chips and queso, Black bean nachos, hush puppy jalapenos, and the shrimp and steak fajitas. The food & flavors are so unique while also remaining in the authenticity of Latin generational dishes. EVERYTHING was amazing! The atmosphere, the food and the family feel you get dining in this place is stellar. They are a diamond in the rough. Visit, visit, visit and have some of their signature drinks while you’re there that are just as amazing as the dishes. I’m so happy that this place, was the place where we got exactly what we didn’t know we were wanting and more!

The only other texmex restaurant in the area that even comes close is Chava’s and the fajitas here beat them out. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Chava’s and they both have their own unique offerings. If the steak fajita is what you’re going for though, this is the winner. They also have excellent guacamole. The one thing I dislike is that given the price it’d be nice to get chips and salsa included with the meal by default.

Arzola’s Fajitas + Margaritas, in Benton Park is a small local restaurant. It has a Inviting atmosphere. We sat at the communal table, where We got to talk and know other people sitting next to us. Which makes the experience homey. The Staff were friendly, and had quick service. We ordered their homemade sangria; which was fruity and refreshing, as well their Paloma brava cocktail,It taste citrusy and sharp with notes of grapefruit flavor. From the menu We ordered Steak fajita, and veggie fajita, pretty tasty. They bring you with the check some habanero gummies, I found it very unique, Tried one just for fun and Hell yeah it was Spicy.We had a good time.

There’s something about dining at a communal table* that makes the experience so much more fun. But even those fill up quickly in this little neighborhood gem of a restaurant, so if you are hungry and thirsty and able to get there before 6pm, they open at 4, and in-the-know locals will already be ready to take a seat and start sipping a housemade margarita or sangria while enjoying flavorful dusted chips and an array of dips. The cool part about coming in early isn’t just the immediate seat; the chef comes out to meet you and can remember you if you’ve visited before. The chicken is some of the most tender I’ve ever eaten, the beef is fork tender as well, and the shrimp is perfect… and all are so flavorful that you find yourself eating just one more bite, even when you’re already full. Whether you want your meat (or generous helpings of veggies) in a giant burrito, a set of tiny tacos, or beautifully presented fajitas-style, it will taste delicious.

This place. Wow wow wow! We made a reservations in advance for a large group of ladies (17) and they were able to help us secure tables. Coordinating for a large group of ladies on Saturday night as you could imagine could be very difficult and some ladies did not show up and they could not have been more accommodating to help us have everyone together. Glen made sure we always had a fresh cocktail, the queso and guac was flowing and dinner came out prompt. Total time in and out was 1.5 hours, they’re not messing around at all and slaying it back there in the kitchen. Keep up the great work Arzolas team, what a special place to have fun.

We’ve been excitedly waiting for Arzolas to open given the reputation they have. The wine bar it replaced just never connected with us and it’s nice to love all the restaurants in your neighborhood. Our hope was a great place to tie one on after work on a random Thursday night, mission accomplished!

My husband and I have been here probably 20 times now (we even came here the night before our wedding) and each time it is amazingly delicious and the service is impeccable. I am not a huge steak person and their steak is some of the most mouth-watering, delicious steak I’ve had. Their cocktails are never too strong or too sweet- always a good blend. We’ve had the pleasure of having Glen be our server a handful of times and he’s always cheerful, knowledgeable, and attentive. Thank you to the whole team for making this an easy choice to come back to time and time again!
