The purple rice was served to the emperor in the ancient China, thus earning its name— the “forbidden rice”. The purple rice is a very good source of carbohydrate, have almost no fat or cholesterol, and is a good source of protein too. We also provide coffee, milk tea, juice, and all other signature drinks to fulfill a wide range of demand. Our signature fruit tea is a must to pair with the rice rolls.

I always come back cheap and delicious rice rolls and drinks. Their bubble tea tastes good, and I got the chicken rice roll flavorful & stuffed. $4.55 for some food is very affordable in NY. You will feel more fulfilled than stuffed for this light snack.

One of few places that specialize in selling rice rolls. They also serve boba and desserts.

I ordered the chicken and duck wrap. It was very good and feels more healthy to wrap with nori sheets instead of white bread.

Wow. I am addicted to this place. Their rice rolls are great – warm, tasty, and cheap. I got hooked by their rice over milk tea and wondering what it was, but after the first try I cannot believe I never had this thing earlier. It combines the best over carbs and milk tea. And guess what, their milk tea tastes like actual TEA. Not like those artificially flavored industrial produced milk tea. So yeah — try it out. Rice over milk tea, it’s my summer.

This was my first boba milk tea in NYC. Even though I really want to like it, some of the pearls are cooked too stiff while others are perfectly chewy. The inconsistency of the pearls made the slurping experience of the boba not as nice. I got the taro milk tea and it’s only flavored with taro w/o the actual fruit. The taste was pretty good but nothing impressive. You may find better luck at other milk tea shops like Gong Cha. Despite this, I will go back to try their signature rice balls next time!! Great service 🙂

This is a great place for a snack or a light meal. I never tried a rice roll with purple rice before so I was curious how it taste. I got the braised pork with pickled vegetable and it was surprisingly exceeded my expectations! It was served warm so it’s nice to eat outside in the cold. FYI, there is a playground across the street with benches. The rice was cooked perfectly which provides a nice texture. The pork wasn’t fatty and they give a nice amount of pickled vegetables. I was surprised that they added mayo and it goes so well with the roll. The cost is under $5. I’m so glad this place exist!

First time stopping by for rice rolls. One beef and one duck. They were well packed and we took a mango and kiwi drink with us as well to go. It can fill you up pretty well between the two.

I only ordered the braised pork and preserved vegetable rice roll and it was pretty good. The roll is served warm and pretty filling. There was no wait and it took less than 5 min to prepare. Would go back to try other rolls.

This is my second time here in “Nuan Xin Rice Roll” in Chinatown. I am really disappointed by them. During Grand Open, there is a massive long line (20-40 min waiting), I assume most people came here just to try out the food because they are delicious BUT SORRY! This one is not like the one in Brooklyn.
