I didn’t have time on my route to go back and get something else so I decided to leave a review. Ordered my food and the staff was nice enough. I didn’t check before I left because I eat at different chicken express locations all over from SA to Austin and it’s always been a great experience. So imagine my disappointment when I check my food and find probably the brownest, dirtiest, SOGGY and scrawny chicken breasts I’ve ever seen. No crispy golden chicken here! Bad enought that it looked less than appetizing it was dried like uts been out awhile and tasted of old oil. Made it half way through one piece before I trashed it. Definitely won’t be back to this location.

My order was missing the chicken tenders, gravy and the hushpuppies. When I called I was told only the items missing would be replaced. Fine, understandable. Then I bite into a piece of catfish and it’s RAW, pinkish, and COLD to the touch. I call back and am told that I must be mistaken. So I box up the fish, ALL OF IT and drive back. I get there with my receipt in hand and ask for a full refund and only after arguing with MIKE do I get back $40. Two twenty dollar bills. SHAMEFUL that after missing the main entree of one family meal and raw cold entree of the other returned in the box that I couldn’t get a refund of at least $50 (not even the amt of the two family meals). Please take the 2 seconds to drive to Golden Chick a few doors down.

Friendly staff. Just don’t go at 3pm during the week, chicken was from lunch time, potatoes were cold, orka wasn’t close to fresh. Roll and sweet tea were good..

Glad when I order a four piece my “tenders” are smaller than a chicken nugget from McDonald’s. I understand raising your prices right now. But don’t do this to your customers. My side of mashed potatoes is bigger than all these tenders. I would not feel comfortable ripping people off this way.

The food wasn’t bad but I watched the 1 of the employees take some trash out. Then walk right back in without wash his hand and just reach in and grab some french fries and started eating them.

I was a little disappointed in our visit. For drinks, they only had sweet tea. They asked biscuit or roll and only had biscuits when we wanted rolls. Apparently they discontinued the seasoning which was my favorite part about this place. I will probably go to golden chick or sonic the next time we go through Lockhart, which is about every two weeks.
