Perhaps one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Every dish I ordered was delicate, yet potent and extremely fresh. Small plates are light yet filling – just scrumptious. Plus, every staff member I encountered was wonderfully friendly, especially my server, Benjamin.

When it comes to dining out, nothing beats the combo of tasty food, impeccable service, and a picturesque setting. That’s exactly what we discovered at this charming gem in Alameda.

The food was delicious and the service was great. The avocado and melon salad was so balanced and fresh- a great summer dish! I loved the brie appetizer and the focaccia was airy, light and freshly baked. The salmon and branzino were delicious.

First time here. Food was amazing and bursting with flavors. We had the Salmon Rillettes appetizer, Chicken A LA Diabla, and Garlic Roasted Shrimp dinners. Service from Andrew was outstanding as well. We will be coming back!

This restaurant is fantastic, the only reason for the 4 stars is because it’s incredibly expensive especially considering portion sizes. However, the price is justified by the presentation, ambience and quality. I don’t believe you can have a bad meal here.

Beautiful ambience, inside and outside. In an alley with green and floral overhangs. Fresh tomatoes and veggies and a most delicious branzino – expertly filet and made fish dish…and black lager cheered me. A Chablis though next to me was also highly rated. Attentive, warm service. Farm to table dining, can’t get better!

Went here on a recommendation. What a find! Food and drinks were really great. Had the Pinky cocktail (earl gray infused gin) to start, gem salad, then the crudo followed by the prawn toast which was unlike anything I’ve ever had before. YUM! Korean fried chicken after that and would definitely have everything again. White peach sorbet for dessert…. not too sweet and fantastic. What a find!

We ended our date night here for just dessert. Having only dessert is a good test of any restaurant as it would seemingly be against their business model. We had a great experience here. The host was extremely enthusiastic to help us and was more than happy to seat us, having passed on our intent of dessert only to our server. Our server was attentive, polite, and made us feel welcomed. The staff were overall attentive to us and gave us a warm dining experience without being pushy or being too much. They seemed to deeply care about our experience which was refreshing as we had just come away from another restaurant where we were treated like a transaction. The dessert was excellent, and I would encourage anyone to check out this place first when dining out in Alameda.

Alley & Vine was a wonderful take-home experience. The food is delicate, the acids are well balanced, textures are pleasing. Containers were meticulously labeled ensuring you don’t dip your french dip sandwich in the salad’s vinaigrette. It’s nice to see some elevated food coming to Alameda which definitely needs it. Will order from them again soon. Support your local restaurants!
