Really loved this restaurant! The food was great, I had the philli steak sandwich with fries, my husband had the hawaiin burger with fried and we shared the pimento cheese balls which were amazing! The atmosphere was nice, we sat on the patio outside and the view of the lake is wonderful. The staff was friendly and attentive and after we walked the boardwalk of city harbor. The prices are reasonable as well. Great place to stop and get lunch with a view!

THE WAKE by BIG MIKE’s newly reopened (April) is excellent! The menu and the service are top notch! Had a class reunion-eve gathering of 32 classmates Friday evening and it was handled with ease! Everyone enjoyed the food, drinks, service and the great view! A great dining experience! Burgers, wings, buffalo chicken sandwich, onion rings, Rueben, pizza, everyone loved it! My husband and I visited The Wake for the first time three weeks ago on Friday afternoon. The hostess met us at the door and took us right to a table. The dining room is fairly small and the bar takes up most of the view of the lake. We both ordered burgers and they were blah. The bread was very dry, the patty was generous, though the flavor was pretty bland. The burger was stacked with cheese sticking to the top bun and a small piece of heated limp lettuce was on bottom of the burger. The server asked if we wanted mayo and mustard and I did get a mayo packet on the side (no mustard), but it was difficult to pull the burger apart (cheese stuck to the bun and all), and their utensil pack only offered a fork, no knife, so that made it even harder to spread the mayo. Their onion rings were good and appeared to be hand made. The server (Glo) was pleasant and attentive, but only after seeing me taking pictures of our food. As to the atmosphere, I had high hopes considering the lakeside location and new construction, but it feels more like a cowboy saloon than a lakeside eatery. And, the mess in their lobby that greets you when you enter the restaurant is sad and sloppy. I can’t believe that a manager or owner allows that. An idea: enclose that far end of the lobby to make it a storage closet, and move the hostess station to offer a pleasant welcome. Nothing at The Wake inspires us to return.

Loved Wake Eatery. The wrap was AMAZING! I didn’t like the onion rings, so I’m going to try the fries next time. Wonderful atmosphere and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely be back very soon.

Great view. For the price and location you expect better quality food. I expect service to be a learning curve as it ramps up, but food should be on point. The onion rings are good, they appear to be hand made to order. That sets the expectations for the remainder to be the same.

First of all I’m a local. Anytime a new restaurant opens up its bittersweet; excited about a new place although not looking forward to the live training it takes for all new spots to work out the kinks. GREAT JOB WAKE! We did lunch on a sunny Friday. Didn’t wait for a table, sat outside on their air conditioned deck to enjoy the view, server was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. She suggested the bbq chicken nachos…fish on baby! They were outstanding. It’s nachos right…nobody gives attention to what makes up the majority of that dish…the chips. Wake does. BEST TORTILLAS EVER!!!

We came in 25 minutes before they were going to close. They said us right away our server. Bailey was very polite attended it to us very well. She did a good job. The food was great!! we got the wildcat burger and the Parmesan wings!! Everything was Great! I’ll be coming back soon!! Thank you
