Our first time here, we arrived and were greeted immediately with a friendly face. Upon being seated drinks came very quickly and staff were attentive. All the menu items looked great, but we ordered the Village Skillet and the Corn Beef Skillet, the portions were very filling and the food seasoned perfectly. What looked to be the owner, she was frequently walking around and filling coffees and making sure everything was a good experience for the guests. We confirmed upon leaving it was the owner and her husband in the restaurant and they were two of the sweetest people. We highly recommend the food at this restaurant and will be back 🙂 what a nice Saturday morning. And the homemade biscuits…buttery and YUM!

I daydream about The Village’s fish n’ chips! I’m from the NW where fish is plentiful. Honestly, the fish n’ chips served at The Village ARE AWARD WINNING! Better than what I’ve found in WA State. The batter is light and flavorful and the fish itself is beautiful/very flavorful. Always fresh, sure to please!! Oh… And the owner n’ wait staff are ALL TOP NOTCH!! Put this establishment on your list of go-to places. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Nice little quiet family place. It is right on Michigan, but still out of the way. Everyone minds their business. I had the steak and eggs. I dropped my steak knife on the floor. I could and did cut the steak with a butter knife. Diane, the server, is an absolute treat!

The whole dining experience was just right and not expected. The owner, Lilly, makes you feel like you are a guest in her home with her friendly personality. Diane, the waitress, is very attentive. I have never had a bad entree and they change the menu with new choices. All in all, a very good dining experience. I’ll come back.

Everything was very tasty!! I’m so excited I ventured out and picked this restaurant!! I’m from the Cincinnati area so wasn’t too familiar with any place to go but the pictures online enticed me!!! The pictures doesn’t just look tasty but the food is the best!! Last, I ordered chicken and waffles and the tenders are flavorful and are homemade with their own batter!!
