First time at Bitters. I enjoyed the ambiance and the staff was friendly. It wasn’t packed so to say, but most seats were filled up on a Thursday evening. Just went for cocktails and they were spot on! Loved that we could have a conversation without having to scream. Definitely will be back to try the food menu

We arrived last weekend as a group of 4 and I can honestly say I have never been so disrespected in my life. When we got to the host stand and told the host (who was also the manager) that we had a reservation for 6:30, he responded that he had a lot of walk-ins and “In order to accommodate everyone, gave our table up.” He then said we could sit at the bar. So we went to the bar. My friend went up to ask if we could be seated at a table when something opens up, and he told her to “stop perching” and that “we can just leave”. Our group then called the manager over to discuss this treatment and told him that this behavior was not okay… He then told my husband to “fix his face” as my husband has a large birthmark under his eye. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Horrible treatment!!!!!!! I would also like to add that my husband is a military veteran and has severe back problems, which is why we made a reservation for a booth to begin with. We truly could not have had worse treatment. *****The owner contacted me and denied absolutely everything listed above. His manager clearly fed him an opposing story to save face. With that being said, I would STRONGLY recommend to the owner to check your cameras, because your manager is LYING through his teeth. I would not take the time to leave such a long review if we were not as hurt and disrespected as we were that evening. ********

My first impression was that maybe they were trying to hard to appeal to too many people. TVs and football and yelling patrons like a sports bar, high-end cocktails like a hipster cocktail bar, Scottsdale strip mall like any generic chain.. however, I was pleasantly surprised. Both of our meals were excellent. The steak was expertly prepared, the chicken was crispy and juicy, the potatoes were killer and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. Even more important than the food though, the cocktails were killer. My wife enjoyed the Bitter Key Lime Pie so much that she had two of them. I ordered the Midtown Manhattan and the Bitter Over The Top. The Over The Top was cool and it was a tasty drink but the extra cost of the theatrical elements weren’t really worth it, in my opinion. The Midtown Manhattan, on the other hand, was outstanding. The theatrical element of the smoke chamber was pretty cool but the drink spoke for itself. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

We ordered 4 cocktails. All were terrible and 1 was not even complete. The waitress needed reminded 3 times about 3 separate orders. Food was good. Not impressed and hope this was an off night for the staff.

Quickest check I ever asked for. Drinks took a while and they were still wrong started with an appetizer guacamole (didn’t look like advertised, bagged guacamole not even the good brand, tasted acidic) chips were so stale I couldn’t chew them. Whoever did the ad or promo for this place was good because it didn’t live up to the reviews or pictures.

Bitters is a lovely place to have a drink and relax Outdoors. It’s kind of like a sports bar but more trendy than that. It’s a great place to have a unusual drink maybe a pale ale or a glass of chardonnay. The atmosphere is wonderful. It’s brand new it’s very inviting. The ambiance is awesome. The bartenders were helpful the servers were a little overwhelmed with 20 of us but they tried to accommodate us as best they could. The owner even came out and shook our hands. I was not impressed with the food selections. There’s not enough to really have a dinner and be full. It’s better for a light appetite. My advice is go to dinner first and then come here for an after-dinner drink. Or come for happy hour and then go and get a real meal they do have a hamburgers chicken tacos pork ribs, french fries, and kale salad. You got to come and try it. The staff was very nice.
