The before and after should speak for itself. Out of pure curiosity I stopped here during a walk. Out of loads of sushi places I have visited, their rice has a proper lightly roasted taste to it. This is rare to find, the rice temperature is also matched to the dish you order. That said, fish is fresh but the cook excels in chicken based dishes. The dish shown above is their Chicken teriyaki. All featured items shown are not muffled, each pronounces their unique flavors while still working alongside the sauces. Nothing I tasted is overwhelming and plays well together. Also! This place is quiet! Even on a Friday, holiday weekend. Mainly visited by reoccurring locals, you can actually sit and enjoy your meal here without being pressured to eat quickly. Stay, enjoy, and love food, this is a proper place to enjoy.

Attentive, friendly service and appetizing food to match. We started our lunch with a bowl of spicy kim chee seafood soup and a regular bowl of seafood soup; they were hot and delicious with the kim chee not being too spicy. The shrimp and krab were paired deliciously with celery and cabbage in a clear broth.

I went here for my birthday yesterday with a couple friends. I got the veggie tempora and an eel roll. It was really good, and the portions were huge! The miso soup was really good too. My girlfriend got shrimp fried rice, and she loved it. My bf got beef teriyaki and he loved his dinner too. The employees were really nice, and the food was out to us really quickly. Overall, I had a great time and I’m definitely going to be back for more.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. Sakura Japanese Restaurant is the hole in the wall, one of a kind, quality sushi place you are looking for. We mostly order to go, but a few times we have dined in and have always had a good experience! We love these people! Their rolls aren’t packed with rice to save money. They make it right every time. They are the bar we measure all other sushi places to. I highly recommend you try them for your next sushi order!
