Great burger, run about $15- $18 and comes with fries, chips and salsa $6 nachos $15 and passion ice tea is so good! Waitress was prompt and we had a bunch of refills! We had a party of 7 at lunch on Sunday we waited about 15 min for a table. I love the tropical feel of the restaurant, with the over the top decor of tropical plants and birds.

Wow! The burger here was really good! We stopped in here for lunch while in town on business and needed a spot close to where we were doing business in San Diego. This was a suggestion from our local rep and it was an excellent place to eat. I had their burger with bacon on a gluten free bun along with their sweet potato fries. It was all delicious! I’m really glad we stopped in here for lunch and would definitely stop in again if back in town.

I have found this Islands to be a trustworthy location. I’ve had two satisfying experiences there with my family. And I intend to return again soon. Good decore. Good service. Good value for buck. When you’re good with the simple items on the menu I can trust them with other choices.

It has been at least a decade since we have dined at this Islands Restaurant in Carmel Mountain Ranch. So many memories of taking the kids here for dinner or lunch when we lived in the area. We have dined at Islands in Oceanside a couple times in the past couple years and have been disappointed but thank god for Islands in Carmel Mt Ranch, food was good and tasted a lot more like it did in the early days. I ordered the Maui Burger and my wife the North Shore Tacos. We split an order of chips and salsa. My burger was juicy, well seasoned and just damn good. My wife enjoyed the tacos and said the chips were good as well. Service was awesome and the servers very friendly. We even got a visit from the manager to make sure all was well. Thank you Islands for helping us relive a memory. Us old folks appreciate that.

We went here because we all wanted something different. I had a blue cheese burger, someone had fish tacos, another had pineapple chicken tacos, another had soup n bacon burger…ALL was scrumptious!! After eating all of that we had a birthday piece of deliciousness on the house! WHAT??!! Yup! It was my friends b day and Islands paid for the surprise b day cake! YEAH Islands!!!

Food and service are pretty good there. Not as busy when we were there as the one in Mira Mesa which is nice. Got the Maui Burger with a fried egg. Would’ve liked a runny egg but over pretty good. If you like mud pies though then you’ll like the Kona Pie. It’s made with mocha almond fudge ice cream & cookie crust topped w/chocolate fudge, whipped cream, roasted almonds & a cherry. It was great!!

Islands dine-in today during covid. My family of 6 had a great experience. The greeter met you outside. The wait was only 5 minutes. Then they walk you to your table. No menus. You scan their barcode for a limited menu. No condiments on the table. You have to ask for it. They seat every other table. All the employees wore masks. Most importantly, their service was excellent!
