The front lobby is a bit deceiving; when you enter, there’s a bar to sit and eat at with “video games” to the right of the entrance. We were a little confused entering at first. We thought we had the wrong place. The hostess then guided us in to the left around the corner to the dining room. The ambiance was nice and the decorations were neat. The serving staff was very attentive and very good. She kept a good balance of giving us time to enjoy each other’s company yet keeping up with us. We didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was okay, nothing to rave over. Their spicy is legitimately spicy though- their spicy level is consider a 5 on a typical scale. Not a bad choice for $30 for two people.

Ordered the clear noodle soup with vegetables. Was good, not too much depth of flavor.

WOW. Just wow. This place is insanely delicious! The menu is simple and straightforward, with all the familiar classics and a few unique options that aren’t as common definitely worth trying. I ordered the panang curry noodles with chicken and was blown away by how insanely flavorful and delicious it was. It’s quite thick and not watered down at all, so the flavors really pack a punch. I didn’t have any previous expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I like the idea that you can build your own bowl when it comes to ordering the curry noodles, and the egg noodles were a great choice. The noodles held on to the curry really well and had a great slightly chewy texture. I enjoy spicy food, and while this dish had a fair amount of heat, it was just enough that it didn’t hurt and was very tolerable. I’ve never eaten a whole bowl of curry before in one sitting, but I finished every last drop of this. It was that good. The service was great as well and all the staff were really friendly.

Mama Toom is simply the best. I’m a big fan of the Pad Kee Mao, Panang Curry Beef, and their Chicken Satay.

The food here is delicious and authentic! I especially love the Thai tea. My sisters and I went here for my youngest sister’s birthday, and the owner made a special dessert for her and they all seemed genuinely happy to sing happy birthday. The waitress was very accommodating with both of my sisters being vegetarian and vegan. No matter your dietary restrictions, this place is for you!

I ordered the soup and an order of the fried calamari. The soup was absolutely delicious! I thought that since just every other review here complained that the calamari was horrible, and the owner’s responses to reviews were positive, that the calamari would have been improved by now…NO! It is STILL the most inedible “stuff” I’ve ever seen. They were fried until they were completely dried out, and the calamari (IF there was any actually in there) was hard as a rock. Since the owners don’t care that they are selling stuff that cannot be eaten, I can only surmise that they are continuing to sell it to carry out/delivery orders so it can’t be returned and no refund has to be given. It will always be extra money for them that they steal from their customers because they know the customer will NOT be able to eat it. So, even though the soup was delicious, I’ll never order from nor eat in this restaurant again. I do not patronize businesses that deliberately rip off their customers like this.
