At our Vicksburg, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I stopped here while traveling. It is dirty and there was a huge dead roach on the floor near the ordering counter. Nobody bothered to sweep it up. Diet Pepsi wasn’t working. Ketchup dispenser was broken and the sauce dispenser looked disgusting. The employees take no pride

They were out of some things and had dirty tables. There wasn’t anyone else eating there at the time. They did bring the food and some sauce. The dispensers were out of more than one sauce. The shrimp was okay, but I wasn’t fond of the green beans or fish.

The personnel inside was really good, both times the food was good however, today, as I was leaving a man followed me out to my car and approached it. He said, “my wife and daughter are in the white car across the street at the hotel and we’re out of gas, could you spare some money for me?”

Took 30 minutes to get a take out order. That was ordered way ahead of time. The employee had her 4 children running around like they were at a daycare center. They just hire anybody to work in there. They act like you’re on their time. Cook and bring the food out when they feel like it.
