We just happened upon this place on our way through town and so happy that we did! We got the dirty wings and the tater tots poutine with the short ribs on top. Oh my goodness the food was so good and our wonderful waitress, Darlene (I think her name was) even suggested some homemade desserts. 10/10 would recommend stopping here, and the service was amazing and so attentive!

Had a delicious prime rib, as shown. Was seated in an intimate little dining area for two. The wings here are delicious as with lots of other entree options. Highly recommend. Our waitress was great very knowledgeable and attentive.

I was in New Britain and decided to check out J Timothy’s Tavern for lunch. I arrived late for lunch and was surprised to see a parking lot with many cars. And I would soon find out why.

Ordered 20 of the “dirt style” wings with an extra side of sauce on the side. French fries. Mozzarella.

Seriously…this place is amazing. Are you going to wait for a table or spot at the bar? Yep. It’s 100% worth it, and there’s a reason so many people come here. The service is exceptional, and the wings are incredible. On top of that, read the history of this place on the website.

The food and staff were amazing and the prices are very reasonable. The only thing I was unhappy with was the parking. It took a while for me to find parking up close, being that the 5 or 6 handicap spots were taken. Please accommodate the handicap with more parking spaces, please, and thank you!

Had a great lunch on a Friday. Didn’t need reservation. Excellent drink, Manhattan, and best ever onion soup. The chicken Cobb salad did not disappoint. It was huge & tasty. Had great service too.

I’ve heard only positive things about J Timothy’s. I went with really high expectations. Everyone mentioned that there would most likely be a wait to be seated. However, we walked in and were seated right away. The waitress came by soon after. I knew we had to get the Dirty wings. I can’t recommend that enough. They’re so crispy and flavorful. Best wings I’ve had. I wish they had more sauce options. Previously, I’ve gone to Dew Drop Inn which has a crazy selection of sauces. J Timothy just cooks the wings up so nicely. Aside from the wings, definitely recommend the French onion soup! Two thumbs up on the entire experience.
