Cranberries Cafe Menu – Goodrich, MI

Type : Restaurant

Location : Goodrich, MI

Welcome to Cranberries Cafe, where past meets future in Goodrich, MI. The original framework for this building was constructed in 1836 when the town’s first general store was built. In 1917, the building was rebuilt using bricks from the Atlas brick making plant of the early 1900s (the plant’s foundation still stands, and oddly enough, it is practically in owner Patty Plant’s back yard). Over the years, Cranberries’ structure has housed several different businesses, including the Goodrich Bank, an ice cream parlor, a tanning salon, a video rental, a trophy store and an antique shop.

Patty opened Cranberries Cafe in 1994 as a hometown deli that offered soups, salads and sandwiches.

Based on 481 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$

This is a very nice place for lunch. The mozzarella cheese sticks are excellent. My husband had the Reuben and he said it was great. I had the chicken Florentine wrap which was very good, however, I requested blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and it came with ranch. I also requested that my onions and green pepper be grilled but they came mildly warm. I ordered a white wine and was brought a red. So this is a nice place with great food but you need to be sure they get your order right.

Went with friends for the first time. The food was outstanding! Server was very friendly and the drinks weren’t something you see every where. Check this place out!

Nice little place in Goodrich. The pandemic worsened service and staffing for everyone and I’m happy Cranberries is still around. The owners work very hard and they’re great people. Gave an overall rating of a 4 out 5. The chicken has been very salty the last couple times we’ve ordered. Waitstaff is very nice but can be slow even when the restaurant is not full.

First time here and good experience. I had Smothered Tenderloin Skewer, it was cooked perfect and very soft. Calamari was great too. Staff was very pleasant. We will be back.

Very friendly service. Stopped for snacks with my sister on the diner side. I got apple Bavarian cheesecake and my sister got fried pickles and mac n cheese. Absolutely delicious. I’ll be going back here very soon.

I was so excited to try this place, it seemed like a diamond amongst the rough, and I mean very rough, time I’ve had with some of the “local” restaurants around. The menu at least seemed original, with some house specials that I thought were probably at least worth the money. Well, I was mistaken. The cranberry chicken honestly felt like frozen chicken cutlets dredged in unseasoned crumbs and pan fried. Then it was DROWNING in what was described as cranberry sauce, but what tasted like someone had taken a can of cranberry sauce and whisked double the weight of water into. It had no flavor and had a curdled appearance that I can only describe as unappealing to look at. I had to add so much salt to make it taste like anything (forget anything about cranberries) I was worried my doctor was going to call me right then and there. The green beans with garlic were limp and sad, with a metallic flavor that at first taste made me wonder if they might have come from a can. Which I might have continued to believe if I hadn’t found a piece of tin foil amongst them. They also had to be liberally salted before they were even palatable. We’re not even going to talk about the bread. Definitely microwaved, and looked like a five year old had attempted breadsticks out of play dough. Lukewarm, spongy and stale.

Tried their Prime beef sandwich. Very tasty. You better be hungry because it’s a lot to tackle. Glad I ordered it with just some chips. Friendly service! I will be back to explore the menu.
