The Hala Cafe is just amazing. The food is so flavorful. We always get way more than we can eat. Most times so we don’t have to cook the next day. This cafe tucked away is a lot bigger than the eye can tell. There is plenty of seating, including outside on the patio. The hummus is some of the best I’ve ever had. Interesting enough is the Greek salad. I don’t know the dressing but it is really good. I could rant and rave for days, but it is better if you just go and try it out! You will not be disappointed. Please add The Hala Cafe to your list of places to visit.

The food here is very authentic (the chef brings his own recipes from Jordan)! I usually order to-go but dine-in was super pleasant! Wanted to thank you Jessy & Sara for their excellent service! Got to talk to Sara and was spoiled with an extra order of Baklava 🙂 the atmosphere is always nice and seem to be full of good company. A huge plus is it’s open until 2AM, which is rare to find in San Antonio. Would 100% recommend this place!!!

I’ve given this place a few tries. I went sometime last year and couldn’t remember why I hadn’t gone back… until I went again a couple of weeks ago. They have messed up my order multiple times now. It is very unfortunate because I didn’t realize it until I was home. They didn’t really offer much to resolve the issue and I was too upset to drive back to the restaurant. It’s a shame because the food is truly delicious, but their service isn’t good enough to make me go back. Also, you might as well buy the falafels and hummus as an appetizer because the falafel plate (although it says it comes with hummus and cost 2x more) only comes with a small like 2oz container.

Very friendly atmosphere and truly welcoming to everyone. The food is fantastic, flavorful, and you can truly taste the cultural pride and love that goes into the dishes.

Truly a hidden gem of the West side! My spouse and I decided to give this place a shot during a weekday and they did not disappoint. We ordered the hummus, karak chai, beef kabobs, chicken kabobs, kunafa, and baklava. Man, they definitely delivered. Lots of flavor, fresh ingredients, and delicious, authentic food. It made me feel like I was back in the Middle East again. The customer service was also great. Our server was very attentive and when the cook messed up our order, they corrected it and gave us the other plate on the house. We really appreciated that. We will definitely be back again!

I ordered from here because of the great reviews, but received food with mold on it and vegetables (for example, the tomatoes) were old.

Pretty good Jordanian style Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food . Reasonably priced. We had the baba ghanoush and dolma appetizers, lamb tikka and beef tika as main and knufeh for dessert. Everything was delicious. My one minus thing is they only have the to-go wrapped plastic cutlery and plastic cups for drinks which even for a casual sit-down place, is still a bit of a let down. Nit picking? Maybe.
