Was one of the few places open past 9pm. What a find! Great classic old Italian atmosphere. Everyone that works there appears to be a family that’s been there a long time. Great service. HUGE portions and it was all cooked and seasoned deliciously. I ordered the cheese omelet and it came with a side of fresh veggies and French fries. Friends ordered the club and could only make it through half. I will def be back!

What makes it great is the prices! I’m tired of a dinner for 2 with some wine being $200… at Marin Joes we were full, dinner and wine, closer to $125. I will definitely be going back often. Easy parking. Easy location. Old faahioned and fun decor. Nice staff…

Two of us ordered the prime rib, the exact way medium rare. They looked very different. Mine was medium and not as thick. Less meat, then my friends . My wife, however, loved her eggplant parm. She said it was the best she ever had.

No one has better burgers. An old school joint that feels like you are walking back in time. The service staff are just not friendly. They will argue with you, get short and make you feel like you are a bother. It is just something you expect when you go. My husband clarified his drink multiple times to still be served wrong drink. I paid cash, tipped very well and then was charged again. I will always go back, but just think of it like going to one of those restaurants where you pay extra for them to be mean to you. Joe’s does it for free!

Marin Joe’s is one of those restaurants that I have seen on the side of the 101 freeway for literally as long as I can remember. I didn’t realize that it is a Marin County institution and good restaurant until I sat in the lively waiting area of the restaurant waiting for a salad Joe’s had donated for me to take to a charity event. I promised myself I’d eat there soon.
