Our first visit was a success. We got the Alex special, it came with, yumyum sauce, chicken hibachi, fried rice, dumplings, egg roll, crab wontons, and California roll with a starter of soup or salad. We also ordered noodles with chicken. (Yakisoba?) We are stuffed full and had a whole box of left overs as pictured.

Wonderful! I had The Sandy Beach Salad and Avocado Roll with a Sapporo beer. Everything tasked great. On the salad you get slices of avocado and mango over a bed of fresh dark green spinach leaves. Topped with a champagne vinaigrette, candied walnut pieces. I forget what type of fish it had on it. In the picture you will see it down the middle of the salad.

Doesn’t remind me of a Japanese restaurant but very clean and fresh inside. Only reason for the 4 star on service is because I had a difficult time communicating with the waiter. They both spoke Spanish, English was limited so it made questions on the menu difficult, they were very nice and right on with their service. So over all a very good experience. The food was very good we will definitely be going back.

Food was delicious and the service was great. Nice variety on the menu as well. Would be nice to have dipping sauces for the hibachi though besides just soy. Maybe a good ginger sauce and garlic butter. Will definitely be back for a visit.

I’m sorry to say it did not live up to expectation. I ordered a rare filet mignon, which we paid extra for since it was the dinner plate, it came out medium well. The rice had a very strange flavor. The soup…idk… was not pleasant. The rolls we ordered were adequate. For the price of them, I expected more, but they weren’t bad. Just for example, a simple California role is $9. I ordered the tres leches cake. Anytime I’ve had this homemade, it’s been soft and moist. This cake was cold, hard, and dare I say it….crunchy with sugar? I ordered the ginger salad dressing, there was so much of it poured on top of the salad, it was all I could taste. There’s a lot of potential, but I probably won’t be back. Also the atmosphere was contradictory. Styled in old central American/ Spanish theme with Asian food. The service was so so. Seems like even tho they weren’t busy when we came in, the server was always rushing around and paying very little attention to what we actually said.
