We stop by Cattle Stampede Steakhouse on a Sunday, around 3pm and it wasn’t busy. The service was great, waiter was friendly. The buffet had a great variety of southern dishes, all fresh and tasty. I loved their apple pie, warm and sweet, it was so good. Great place to eat overall.. Recommended

I hadn’t been to the cattle stampede since it changed names and switched over. Actually I had been there a few times to deliver food to people through doordash but this was the first time I went in and ate. It was a weekday and it was during the buffet bar. I was jonesing for a steak and baked potato so I went in with all intentions to order from a lunch menu and not get the bar if they had one. I thought when they opened their design was to not have a buffet bar during the week. However when I got inside and was seated I asked for a menu and I said that they don’t have one that is just the buffet. I’m assuming they meant during the day and weekday and if they still have a menu at night and weekend but I’m not 100% sure. I was a little taken aback but actually the bar look great as always like it used to at western shoes and even better in fact. I said what about steak and she said you can add a ribeye for 10 dollars I was so hungry for steak that I ordered one and added it. I went to the bar however and it was great amazing looking. I ended up getting fried chicken and some shrimp and stuff too and a big salad. When my steak came I was expecting a little 6 oz or something but it was a big ribeye at least 10 oz and it was really great Not as good as I’ll make it home of course but it was very good by Western sizzlin standards. I ordered it medium rare and it can cook that way just a hint of pink blood and warm tasty beef all around the pink middle. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed all my other food especially the salad bar which I always love. At the end I even got some chicken livers for iron and ate them with ketchup yum yum. The sweet tea was great and the service was all good as always. I left paid for my mail and left head dollar tip I love the kettle Stampede just like I loved western shoes and great great restaurant in four painting and I hope it never closes Viva La Cattle stampede

It was our 2nd visit & it was outstanding! We went late (7:45-ish) so my expectations were low. Every single thing we had was hot, fresh & delish! Lots of choices & reasonably priced for what all they had. We were seated immediately; the hostess & every server was super friendly & very attentive. The cook was humble, gracious & really seemed to care if the food was good. He was still cooking & bringing out fresh food when we were leaving around 8:45 p.m. We will be regular customers after our experience tonight! Also can’t wait to try breakfast!

We were there on Monday, July 31st. The food was wonderful. Our waitress Leteisha was absolutely AMAZING. I’ve never seen anyone work as hard as she did. We never had to ask for anything. She even provided us with to go drinks. Wonderful Experience.

Everyone was super friendly! There was a ton of food to choose from, and a lot of Proteins. There was Fried chicken, chicken livers, pork chops, smoked sausage, fried and baked fish, and even more! Some of the food wasn’t very hot would be my only complaint.

Staff was very friendly earning them an extra star, however… The chef needs to learn how to clean chicken. Hot wings still FULL of feathers. (See pic) meatloaf however was very good and the pepper steak was too. We will return just watching what we eat closely. I feel like this was a huge issue and management should have caught it.

The steak and sweet potato were awesome, Jalapeno cheese sticks were amazing, and the salad was as if I had made it… Not a side! The price was very reasonable for the quality and our waitress was very friendly and efficient!

I have eaten here once before and it was good. Tonight the food was so bad, and when I politely brought it to their attention, I was told ‘are you sick, nobody else is complaining’. I should have just left instead of forcing down some of the food. Most of the meats were dry, tough and inedible. The various foods that my boyfriend and I tried were either bland or way too salty. The fried foods were old and stale. My boyfriend could not bite into the fried chicken and livers so was only able to eat mashed potatoes and gravy. But even that didn’t taste as good as usual. I finally got some fresh onion rings right before I left. The were crunchy and good. But when I first arrived and got some they were stale and soggy. The man serving is did good so I tipped him anyway. But I think the supervisor should have at least offered us a discount. $40 for mashed potatoes and gravy and onions rings is truly ridiculous. Next time I will go to Sante Fe. But then even McDonald’s taste better than what was served today.

I tell you what….This place is BUSSIN!! Cattle Stampede Steakhouse has brought back the Lunch and Dinner Buffet…oh, and on the Weekends the Breakfast Buffet too. This was my first time ever visiting here because I was in Ft. Payne, Al., for a visit. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING I ate was amazing!! I tried a lot of the meats and they were all delicious!! The Sirloin Tips were tender, the BBQ Ribs were flavorful and tender with just enough pull to let you know they meant business! I tried a Hamburger Steak with grilled onions and gravy…Mmm Mmmm good!! Rolls and Cinnamon butter was take home worthy. Greens, cabbage, salad!! Whew…Y’all just gotta go and try it. And the price…. $8.99 a person for lunch Y’all!! I will plan a trip there just to eat. The hour and a half drive don’t bother me.

Be aware: this restaurant charges gratuity on a table of six. They also have “no authority to remove” the gratuity from the check if you left your tip on the table. The rice has zero seasoning; instead, they over season the fish and steak tips.
