Wonderful breakfast! This is the second time I’ve eaten the chicken fried steak, country gravy, scrambled eggs with hash browns and pancake for breakfast and it is just as tasty as the first time. This is my new go-to for a delicious, quick breakfast.

The staff is fantastic and very friendly. The food is really good . The restaurant itself needs a lot of work . The seating in this place is the worst I have ever seen . The booths feel like they were made in the fiftys and they were never change they are worn out . Feel like they are broke down. When you sit it feels like you are sitting in a hole . Y’all ain’t gonna believe this, but let me tell ya ’bout my downright terrible experience at The Hog Rock Cafe. Now, I ain’t one to complain, but that food? Lord, it was somethin’ else. That French dip sandwich? Tougher than a leather boot, I tell ya, on a bun that coulda been used for target practice, and not a speck of flavor to be found. And don’t even get me started on that mushroom Swiss burger – raw mushrooms, raw onions, and a plain ol’ bread roll. As if that ain’t enough, the bacon they slapped on the side was crispy as burnt kindlin’, just like you can see in them pictures folks been sharin’ all over them reviews.

We walked in and never got greeted, so we sat at the bar seating. Waited for 10 min without one person acknowledging the fact that we were sitting there a regular must’ve walked in and sat next to us because they instantly went to him and gave him coffee. We ended up walking out. I’m disgusted with the disrespect from this place. I personally work in costumer service and this is definitely not how you treat them.

It has been a long time since I went there. Before pandemic I used to go there because it was so good. Old fashioned redneck greasy spoon goodness. I was so disappointed my favorite omelet sucked. Big time. I ask another friend who said it has been a few years since the food was good and they don’t go there anymore either. I even told my niece it was really good. And got her food too. They made a liar out of me.

Some of the largest pancakes I’ve ever seen. Service was lightning fast. Super inexpensive. Delicious food. Basic diner fare. My only comment would be the toast was overdone for my taste. Otherwise perfect.
